Another Do it all Tip Tool

No personal experience, but I heard the finish comes off the copy when you develope heat using the burnisher part.
Has any one experienced such??

My personal experience was with the REAL Ultimate Tool, I found it could do a few thing o.k., some thing poor.

My Tip Tools are:

Willard Dime I use seldom

A Tip Taper

A Porpor Mushroom Tool

and Last Sand paper 220 & 600

That is my kit, and it cost about 12 BUCKS TOTAL.

The UTT was great at shaping, all the other "tools" were really bad.
1. the side shaver (to shave mushroom) - scratch the ferrule
2. the burnisher - damaged/cracked the ferrule.
3. the tapper - was useless.

I would still buy it just for fast easy shaping.

This shark tool looks useless as well (at least to me).

* Best way to remove a mushroom is to cut it (like when installing a new tip).
* Best way to burnish a tip - a piece of leather or paper towel and some spit.
* Use a Tip-Pik to make the tip hold chalk, haven't found any good use for a tapper.

Just my $0.02

Unjust feedback???

Wow! You guys are a tough crowd to please. Understandable though because there have been so many tools out there over the years that were just plainly complete junk. I won't get into defending the CueShark itself, that is for you to decide, but if you go back and look at posts from people who have actually seen and or used one of them, they seem to think they are a useful tool and would not consider them junk.

Also, I understand and am listening to your concerns about the prices. First a little background. I have owned a machine shop in New York State for almost twenty years. I have seen first hand what has happened to the manufacturing industry over that time. Right now it is probably worse than it has ever been... I don't think I will get any disagreement on that. What I would like people to realize is that I have made a concious effort to keep this product made here in the USA. I have had dozens of people tell me that I will never make money with this product unless I get it made outside of the US. They may be right, I don't know. I could knock the price in half in an instant should I decide to take that road. Is that what people want? A few more American jobs lost in exchange for one more imported "product" that people complain about because there is NO QUALITY. Seems to me we have enough of those already.

I will work on getting the prices down and with the Holidays approaching we will be running sales. In the meantime, please keep posting your opinions of the CueShark. I appreciate the feedback.

my favorite burnisher that it really handy it jsut a dollar bill that has been folded first legnth wise then width wise. Seems to heat up nicely and who doesnt have atleast a dollar on them while palying.

What I use regularly is a Euro Pocket Chalker which is about 15 USD, and a Willard which was around 5 USD, if memory serves me right.

Both are cheap and do their respective tasks very well.

The rest doesn't belong in my case, as I wouldn't use it in the pool hall. I used to carry the Ultimate tip tool as well, but I only use it at home, so it's not in my case anymore.

Best regards,

Detlev

most of the guys that are bashing your product are donkeys and have no clue about anything to do with pool. i wouldnt put much value an their opinions. if you really want good feedback send a few of em to real pool players on here and ask em to do a review.

Who are the real pool players on the forum, you mean guy like me that play 5 or 6 days a week. 20-30 hours a week?

@ Cue Shark, As with all things it's supply and demand. Which situation would you prefer to sell 100 of these at $100 (Total Gross Revenue of $10,000) or Sell 10,000 of these at $20 (Total Gross Revenue of $200,000). Realizing that the more you sell the more potential for word of mouth advertising (larger exposure to potential customers) and higher production numbers usually mean a lower cost per item/widget. Just something to think about. There's a price point that people will pay for pool/tip accesories my personal opinion is that it tops out at about $25-$30 beyond that and you have a niche nested within a niche market.

Good Luck with the product at what ever price it settles out at.

As opposed to what, an "imaginary" pool player? I play 4 nights a week and at home when i find the time, i consider myself real, just not real good

what an a$$. so i guess your a "REAL POOL PLAYER" and you already have one on order?

by pool player i mean actual pool players like john schmidt, chris bartrum, donnie mills, danny harriman, and so on. not fag wannabe's.

Well I would think the Pro are already on the list, but many want endorsement money to endorse anything as it is business with them.

Another idea would be a tool traveling to a group players who would be will to try it for a few days, critique it, and then send it along to someone else to do the same.

a lot of time, money and hard work went into developing this product and everyone was bashing it without ever trying it. this kind of negativity ruins pool. would you take the advice on what a good car is from a guy who just changes his oil and air filter? i am not saying you guys have to buy it but damn cut the guy some slack he is trying to give players a way to manage their tip better and make some dough. you guys kill me.

Well Jason maybe you should buy one, test it for a week, a month and report back your findings.

My thought on this tool has nothing to do with what it costs, if something is worth the $$ then that's the price and I'll gladly pay.

My thoughts are only regarding it's usability.
I do shaft maintenance to all the local players around here, from tip replacements to cleaning and dent removing etc. Don't need to be a great player (which I never claimed that I am) in order to know a good tool, in fact most top players will have no clue as most of them let others do their shaft maintenance (yeah yeah I know, some of them do...).

To me it doesn't look like a very useful tool, more like a gimmick with the chalk holder and powder dispenser. I could be wrong, I'm only basing my thought on what I see on-line. I'm sure it will sell nice regardless what some people are thinking of it, after all Cuetec cues sell very good....
