Another EBay Scam?

This converted Titlist is listed on EBay. The seller is from Singapore. One shaft is a Predator. I am not aware of Predator making shafts with ivory ferrules but it also lists both with ivory ferrules

I asked if both shafts are original. I was interested in the answer because there can only be one original shaft.

Here is my question and the answer provided:

"Are both shafts original? What kind of tips? Thanks"

Yes, all original shafts. Moori tips

I have a hard time trusting a purchase from Singapore. What also bothers me is why the question is not posted for other bidders to see.

I don't think it's a scam but obviously the Predator shaft is not original.

The cue is a Willie Hoppe Professional. It's not a conversion, it was made that way by the factory. They sell for between $500 - $600 depending on the condition, add something for the ebony splice. The decal is important. The ebony version is hard to come by.

I am not sure of this seller, however, like you I would be very reluctant to purchase items from overseas. The shipping costs are high, and if the cue is not as advertsied or doesn't show up, then what?

Some of these overseas offers are tempting but I would pass on this one.

I will be going back through Singapore in 5 months, if he held onto the cue till then I would buy it for sure, that thing is really nice and those are not at all common cues. As far as a local pro in Singapore? Not so sure, finding someone good in that city proved difficult when I was there last.
