another fully carved case to look at.

Thanks Marissa

I'm trying to make each one different to keep some originality.

Thanks,
Jim

As the proud new owner of this case I have to say it looks fantastic-great work Jim! I can't wait to see it in person. I hope to have it within a week and will post a review once it is received.

It is about 8 hours of carving, alot of planning and hours dying it and making sure that it looks right.

Yes, it is all carved with a swivel knife.

The owner is three posts above you.

Thanks very much for the nice posts,
Jim

Beautiful work Jim.......the slanted zippers look really nice............are they easier to get in and out of than straight zippers ?????? i've never tried using anything with that type of zipper design and was wondering.......Thanks

slanted zippers

One of the reasons that I'm using a slanted zipper, other than looks, is that they are easier to get into because they can be longer in the same space than a straight up and down zipper. The first multiple zipper case I made was with a straight up and down zipper and I realized that if I slanted it I could add about 2 or 3 more inches to the opening and it is a lot easier to get your hand in.

Thanks,
Jim

Purty case.....:D

I thought you were going show a carved solid wood case like Mike Massey had....
