Just received my second fantastic DVD set from the TAR guys. This is a 3 DVD set that consists of the Shane vs Alex 10-ball race to 21 at the Derby for 5k. Watched the first DVD today and plan on watching the rest on Wednesday.

Truley superb play from both of these indiviuals from what I have seen so far, and from what I have read, I really cannot wait to watch the rest. Great video quality and everything as we have come to expect from TAR. Another great product. Can't wait to see what you guys at Valley Forge.

Anyone thinking about picking this up, do yourself a favor and buy it. Its 3 DVDs and over 5 hours of world class pool for less then 25 dollars. You can't beat that.

Don't forget the commentary either, top notch!

I ordered mine late last week (Alex vs Shane), it shipped on Friday or Saturday (!), and lo and behold what did I have waiting for me when I arrived home from work today? Talk about making a Monday right. You rock TAR. Kick ass. This kind of customer service will easily bring me back for other products. Too bad I'm too damn tired to watch much of it tonight.

Oh yeah, commentary is fantastic. Good shot calling and discussion from some great players, plus some humerous and insightful views on things as well.

Great job all around!!

what is the price for set of 3. And do they ship to Europe.
I heard so much about this that I have to see it.

alex vs. shane

We will not be set up at Valley Forge. We tried to get in and cover the action in the pit but we were unable to get it worked out. I will be in Valley Forge trying to get some sponsorship/advertising things going and I hope to find a vendor that is already gonna be there to carry some of our DVD's for sale.

It should be reminded that this match is 5+ hours of pool. I love Accu-Stats, but at the same price you are generally getting one match from them that might span 90 minutes. Sometimes a couple of short matches that might push two hours on one disc. I wish I had more Accu-Stat DVD's, but their cost doesn't always fit in my budget for what you get.

But, $25 for 5+ hours of two top players battling in an action match? Well worth the investment. I've only watched around a half-hour so far, but I can already tell this one is a must for any pool DVD collection.

It is just one camera angle, fixed camera angle, and no close-ups, but I don't find that it degrades the quality at all and it's almost like watching a match in-person with a reserved seat.

you can get the dvd from our website www.theactionreport.com we hope you all enjoy the dvds!i know ive watched it 3 times 4 if you count the live version!:D

I just got mine today.. Although I witnessed some of the sets with my own eyes it'll be nice to kick back and watch these form start to finish with no getting a beer or smoke break interruptions.

Also, the little note BigNasty puts in the DVD is nice... made me feel warm inside. Thanks BigNasty!

I got the Schmit Hariman straightpool and Alex and Shane.

For the price you can't go wrong. I think it is great that someone else is trying to bring something to the market. I hope this is the beginning of a great thing.

I do hope others try to buy some of these DVDs, and help keep it going.

Great job TAR, keep strong...

Pete

You guys are great salesmen for the Action Report. I ordered mine today! Can't wait till it gets here. I also purchased the first Action Challenge and what makes these videos so awesome is we get to see the players play at their highest level. Many times by the end of a tournament players are tired, the pressure of a short set in the finals leads to a close match, but not always the highest level play.
These long sets give the players time to play their way into stroke and we get too see the game played at it's highest level.

Got mine yesterday and finished watching today, some of the best pool I ever saw. That last game was awesome and full of excitement.

Support TAR as much as you can they are the real deal.

I'm proud to say I've paid for all the pay-per-views, and bought this DVD set. I still need to buy a t-shirt. Everyone should be supportin TAR. The Derby City coverage alone was PRICELESS!

Finished this DVD tonight. Great stuff. No doubt about it, this DVD should be in everybody's collection.

- No major strings of games and John Schmidt repeatedly drills it into your head with his commentary about the filthy conditions.
- Plenty of misses. Nice to see the top guys miss those kind of shots.
- Don't get me wrong though, some great shots are made.
- Great safety play also, especially by Alex.
- You see an unusual foul by one of the players that has everyone in the commentator's booth gasping.
- Jeanette Lee is a pleasure in the booth.
- John, Bob, and Jay are also.
- Please keep Darren Appleton out of the booth next time. Poor Bob was overrun by Darren talking non-stop.
- The last game is golden.
- Almost 6 hours of pool entertainment for $25. Wow.
- And find some of those morons that were touching the table and Alex's cue and beat them with a cane. Schmucks.

Darren started off okay, but I think by Disk 2 he is drunk as a skunk...

I could be wrong, but he seems well into his cups when he started with the "like, like, like, like..." I was begging someone to take the key out his back.

I thought Bob Hunter was good and I like John Schmidt's commentary, but a lot of the time he didn't seem to be paying attention and had to be told what was going on or corrected about who was ahead, etc.

That was a wee bit annoying.

But, it is a great DVD for the price and well worth it just for the chance to see a high dollar action match between 2 champions.

I was watching the DVD a few nights ago and my wife asked me why this was any better than any of the hundred or so other matches I have and I told her, "Because the loser of this one gets to hand his opponent $5000 and decide whether he wants to buy back in for another $5000."

I am wondering how much would be the shippment to Romania (Europe) for this DVD. I looked on TAR site, but seems they don't ship to Europe :(. Maybe you guys can explain why?
