thanks for the help

Jerry made the first cue for me but someone bought it before I ever got to touch it

Jerry had some wood seasoning for some time so he made me another one

I wanted to try the colors you see

Titleist colors on the first cue are hard to beat,but I took a shot
with the full assurance from Jerry that they would be beautiful

What do you guys think?
I am undecided whether ivory inlay would be an improvement on
the mother of pearl

I am a big mother of pearl fan

Your opinion will help me decide

The first cue is one of my favorites of all time

jerry may be the best cue maker alive
he certainly gives the best service

no offense to John Nemic,my close friend

Here are the photos Dean's talking about...Jerry asked me to post them for him. Very, very nice! :grin: The first two pics are his first 360 (I think) and the last pic I believe is the new blank with the colors Dean was talking about...How perfect is the alignment on those butterfly points?!!!

This cue has the best return points, crisp, tight, and nearly flawless. The veneers are simply AWESOME!!!

I LOVE THIS CUE!!!

Mr. Rauenzahn knocked it out of the park!!!

I agree...I think Dean's second 360 has more vibrant colors, combined with that wood, should really take your breath away once the finish is on.
 
Great cue overall, I wonder how fancy shaft plays. Must be heavy with ebony and splices
 
mother of pearl diamonds and dots may not be new
but this is the first 360 i have seen with mop
and i love it

i asked if you guys might like ivory better
no one responded yet

but another look at the one with mother of pearl is enough for me

i am going with mop

the pastel colors may be a bit of a gamble but i think jerry
has knocked it outta the park one mo time

thanks for all the compliments and words of encouragement

i used to hear so many good words about Jerry and his cues,
but when I got the first one and it was so pretty and he finished it
so timely ,it was then that I became a big fan

I ordered 2more of the 360 with different colors and another
fancy mother of pearl knockout cue to go along with it

Enjoy the pictures,I will be looking forward to some more
updates for you guys on here too
 
If ya want to switch it up just a tad...go abalone instead of MoP. Just a thought. Gorgeous cues, btw!

Green Abalone would be THE NUTZ!! Or blue abalone I would keep the inlay very simple in the ebony cue. It will look insane when it's done.

Well, since you ask.....

They are not perfect by any means. In the pictures of both cues you have presented, there are many things that are not perfect.

Butterfly cues (seem to be) much harder to master / construct than points, and most people don't seem to know what to look for when judging a butterfly cue.

I believe if anyone ever makes a perfect butterfly cue, they should quit cue building and start doing something else, as it will never happen again.

Having said that I believe these cues by Jerry R are the most stunning cues I have ever seen, wish I could build one just like them, or had the money to buy one.

these cues of jerry's are the best tributes
to the original that i have ever of the claassic 360 design ,
the looks and overall design is
present in breathtaking beauty along with a few improvements

i am going to sell one of mine when it gets here and actually play with the
other one

after all the years i have been in pool,i still love a pretty cue
and this is one beautiful cue


when i ashed for the abalone or mother of pearl additions
some were afraid that i was ruining the classic design,but i thought
they would add to it,i still think so

i get several PMs and calls each week,i don't remember a single cue
causing so much excitement

Blue abalone? is there such a thing?Would it be as pretty as the green?

I totally agree with your above statements and will say that your description still does no justice to the actual complexity of the 360. 2 sets of fullsplice points and 2 sets of butterflies is on the verge of impossible to get perfect when alignment is concerned. From what I've seen Jerry R has produced the cleanest and best aligning 360....period. Even with dedicated jigs and a streamlined process he's destined for an ass whoopin in trying to keep everything aligned. I applaud him for even dealing with the headache.
