I just started watching Alex and Roberto 1P on Youtube, and this kid shoots great. Is he Pinoy?

Yes, Superman (his nickname) is from the Philippines. He’s been around a while now.

Hardly new(41). He finished second in '07 World 9b Champs. Plays great and is a lot like Alex in attitude. Really a good guy.

This. Spoke to him a couple years ago at the US Open. Nice dude. Easy going.

Won the 2018 bigfoot 10b challenge over fedor gorst.

I read somewhere he is the house pro at one of the rooms in Texas. Not Houston, but somewhere near.

not new at all, even though he looks young. he was really up and coming in the mid 00's, but after he lost the world championship final against darryl peach in his home country he kind of faded away. i heard he quit playing and worked as a journalist or something? but yea, he's back and in top form

That's some story.
He never quit.

I had him as visitor along with his road partner/manager here years ago.
He was in California for a while. He had one backer here.
He was playing at Hard Times and one place in Carson for a long time here.
Even matched up with Oscar Dominguez .

He went back to the islands and hasn't really been back here after that .

I saw him a couple weeks ago in Texas. He had to go back to the islands due to a Visa issue but has gotten that worked out. He was back in time for the Derby. I believe he plans on spending as much time in states as he can.

He is really fun to be around. I like the on/off switch. Cracking jokes and then dead serious down a ball 10 seconds later. Very smooth and powerful stroke.

Heard some funny stories when he was hanging out at Hard Times.
He was eavesdropping on the Mexicans .
They just kept talking in Spanish.

Gomez is from Zamboanga, Philippines. They speak Chavacano there .
It's a dialect heavily influenced by Spanish.
He understands Spanish fully.

Joey~Brushing up on his spanish because he has no excuse not able to speak spanish~

Here is a clip from a while back. How good can he really be? Didn't even get a shot. Tang ran the table, in a dress no less. :-)

I believe he's signed up for SBX.

Here is his stats on Fargo. I guess he's been slipping under the radar.

He stayed busy in the islands.
Had a few trips to the US. He played at the derby.
But, I really didn't see him here in California anymore.
