Another option aside from Sopcast!

Sopcast's been great so far, you can't ask for anything better than to watch
an assembly of who's who in 9 ball pool get at it for 9 straight days on the
internet in real time (give or take a few seconds) and for FREE!

Here's another alternative to Sopcast since TVU isn't showing the WPC this
year. It's streaming and... Yes! It's FREE! :D

You have to register to get in. Every page, I get a pop-up that says next page is "unsecure." :o

However, is this better than SOPCAST?

Also, Matchroom Sports is offering it for $5. Is that any difference than this or Sopcast? Same video line, same angles, same commentators?

Try this Jennie: http://www.inquirer.net/specialfeatures/2007WPC/

Click it and it will lead you to a Raya Sports icon located at the right side just below "Fashion Jobs" :p .
It will lead you to the treasure you seek! :D

so gopi,

Do we just click on the 'play' button to watch it LIVE? Do we still have to register and log in? When I tried to register, it was asking me for a billing address so I am not sure it is free.

My bad... :o

They had it advertised as free streaming, which is definitely not. I haven't
tried it yet as well, as all know the finals is more than 9 hours away. They do
have a streaming commercial about the event...

You can use any address

I registered without using accurate information and am now able to log in but the feed is not supposed to start until later.

Did it ask for any credit card or other financial information?

I also did that and I got in, false names, false address and all. I guess it will be free after all!

No CC info. Just set up a new email account, give a fictitious name and address, and voila! You're in!

Is the email account fictitious too? Or do they have to send a confirmation to the email you provided, in which case, it should be valid.

They didn't even bother to confirm. If you want to play it safe, just create a
new and disposable email addy, like a one time usage...

I'm watching one of their archives games from last year, the Pagulayan vs.
Espinosa tussle and it buffered for 5 seconds and the video is great! Just
register under a fictitious name and address, create a new email addy and
you're in! They have a great video archives like Reyes/Strickland, Manalo/
Wu Chia Ching, Bustamante/Pena, Ortman/Luat, Engert/Corteza, Immonen/
Lining and a host of others.

I can't wait to see the finals tonight!

On the official WPC website, it says 2:30 pm Philippine time. That translates to 1:30 am, Sunday morning, US eastern. So that is 12:30 am, Sunday morning US central time.

However, on the AZ front page, it mentions the time as 15:30 or 3:30 Philippine time. If this is the case, then that will be 2:30 am Sunday US eastern or 1:30 am US central.
