Another original early 60's Bushka

Beautiful old school cue there.
I'm going to guess, given the Titlist blank, maybe a bit smaller at the joint, .830 or so.
The butt plate at the end, maybe about 1.290 or so. Tiny bit smaller than his later cues.
Obviously original Cortland wrap, and classic George rings throughout, including both directions in the buttplate.
All lot of guesses. :thumbup:
I think I would hang on to it.

Early Balabushkas
Another beautiful Balabushka.
I find these uncommon Balabushka designs more interesting than what has become the seemingly trademark "Bushka design" cues. Yes the more common Balabushkas are beautiful but just not the only configuration.

Beautiful cue!
I acquired this close cousin to yours not too long ago and it is in astounding all orig condition. Pete Tasc said he knew the cue and the owner before me was an aquaintence of his - said he was meticulous about everything he owned incl his cues.
I feel honored to have this one and I also have an appreciation for these less common looking ones.
and I like swirly plastic.

Brunswick made the brown KU bumper and sold them in their catalog. Cuemakers used these because they were extremely high quality and readily available.
They no longer manufacture them, but the bumpers can be found at reasonable prices.
I've been looking for one and I haven't found one for what I'd consider reasonable $ yet...
Reasonable is relative, for a Balabushka it's like putting factory tires on your otherwise Concours 57 Chevy
Well to me reasonable means reasonable. A brown bumper from Prather cues advertised for Balabushka cues is $5. Other makers have ones similar as well. It's not original I get that and charging a premium is expected but anything over 5 or 6 times current for such a small part is just more than I'm willing to pay.
Ok, that said a seller should try and get as much as the market would bear.... More power to them. I'm just not part of that market.
As for the Chevy, I used be involved in restoring Chevy muscle cars and the good thing was all those tires were reproduced so that was a much better option than finding originals that may have issues or dry rotted for sitting all those years ESPECIALLY if the car was going to be driven.
