Another pay pal nightmare

Paypal is the best way for me to buy on eBay. Fast simple and direct. The only problem I have had is with sellers who have been less than creditable and part of that is my fault for not searching their rating or wanting something badly and neglecting they only have a less than 98% rating. I have done all my buying here with paypal too and never had a problem yet. Mitch

I can hardly understand what you are trying to say but it sounds like the wrong paypal account being charged would have been a problem on your side. Not paypal.

Yes , thats it. I had a paypal account for years and I only really used this for paypal but I would just transfer funds from my regular account to the one I used for pay pal for years . But I got tired of transferiing money so I cancelled the one they used for years and just added my regular account so it would just come directly from there. I removed all the info where it says edit or remove card or account info. But then I added my regular account. And the next day I bought a JFlowers case. Well some how they took money from the old account which I removed from the info the day before and never used the one I changed it to the day before that I added to the list. So the pay pal rep.could not give me any answers to how this happened just they are not paying any fees if there are any, and she sounded like she was reading off a card or something and could not tell me anything her self .And then today when I went to the bank and got everything fixed myself after pay pal did nothing to help. I tried removing me new account info I changed it to and they said I can cause waiting on a transaction. They already got the money out of a account I took off, so now they were trying to double bill me the bank said it happens all the time with pay-pal. They have numberous complaints and have issues every month with things just like this. But this was my first bad experience but I been hearing about things in the past. I will just be very careful the next time I have to use pay-pal, thats it. And I will only use the original account that they had, even know I removed it . But I will be sure to keep checking to get the account I changed it to removed and just use the one they billed.<<

When paypal is good it is very very good, when paypal is bad it is very very bad!

Paypal is like the little girl, when it is good it is very very good but when it is bad it is very very bad!

Years ago I moved and no longer could access the e-mail account that was tied to paypal. My first discovery is that it is easier to contact the US president, China's Hu and the Dali Lama and get them all on a conference call with you at the same time than it is to contact any human being at paypal. Then service is totally nonexistent. They are as understanding and cooperative as an exwife when she and the divorce payment are both three months overdue.

They told me they would send a form in the mail. They didn't. I tried creating new accounts. My credit cards and bank account couldn't be used because they were already attached to another account, my old one that I couldn't access! After a month or two I realized that I was licked and gave up on paypal. Folks tended to think I was giving them a ration of BS when I told them my paypal account was in a mess and I couldn't do a thing about it but that was just the way it was.

Finally a year or two later I had a new street address, a new bank account, a new credit card, and a new e-mail. I created a new paypal account and it has pretty much worked like clockwork. However I am well aware that paypal is there for one reason only and that is to make money. Anything they claim is every bit as sincere and accurate as the used car dealer or the local politician running for election.

I'll never send a penny based on paypal guarantees, they are meaningless. Also if paypal does foul up, you are the one hung out to dry. Individuals can't enforce lopsided contracts that hugely favor one party and there is no option but to sign if you need to do business with someone. Large entities can and do every day.

Imagine reading this here...

I sold a cue a week or two ago using my wifes ebay/paypal accounts. After years of no hassles what so ever, I sell one item and now my wife's account is subject to a 21 day holding period of funds for sold goods. So now, when she sells that pair of shoes for $3.00 + shipping (that she bought for $0.50 @ goodwill) she has to wait for the funds to be released.

good grief!

We have over 4900 transactions on Ebay, most with PayPal, and have had little trouble. Most of the trouble we have is with people who don't understand how to set up their account. Now, as buyers, we have had a problem recently with them not taking the funds from the right account. Can't seem to get this right with them, it's happened twice now.
