Very nice Brunswick 26 1/2. I am the original owner, and bought this cue new....jk. Cue was made around 1910 give or take a couple years. Features the upgraded ivory joint, ivory ferrule, and mop nameplate. Points and veneers look great. Points are pretty darn even. I would say one is off about 1/8". This cue has been refinished, so it is in better condition then 99% of the 26 1/2 cues you will see. There also looks to be some repair made to a couple of the ebony points in the shaft. Cue rolls good. There is a little bit of light under the joint and forearm. Maybe about credit card or so. I think this may be due to the taper of the cue, because there is not variation at all when rolling the cue. A little roll in the middle of the shaft also. That being said, the cue does not wobble around like many 100+ year old cues. The tip and ferrule never leave the table. Given everything, I would say that this cue rolls better then a big majority of cues this old.

-Weighs 18.07oz.
-Tip 11.7mm right under the ferrule.
-57 inches long
-2 inch ferrule

Asking $1500...Now $700 shipped in conus. Huge price drop to free up some holiday cash. May entertain cash and trade deal.

And if your name is Al Spada, then this cue will be priceless!

You know its funny we Al Spada up in Kingston NY. He is an old retired politician.
Then there was Spada's Sporting goods and Spada's Bar. They all played pool.
Back in the day there used to be a pool hall I believe called the Golden Cue.
Mosconi and the big boys used to come and play there all the time. We have an old road player named Billy Costello. What stories he has.

Wonder what the chances are that was our Spada's from Kingston.

Thanks for the info. Probably not too many pool playing Al Spada's, but you never know

Also, bump for some offers on a rare cue.

The Kiss of Doom . Mention anything about a taper roll or light under the shaft or any thing else pertaining to straightness , no matter how old the cue is , and you can forget about selling it on AZ .

I would love to have that cue , even with whats been disclosed , but I can't afford it and you will never catch me low balling anyone , if I can afford it I keep my mouth shut and walk away , that's what my Dad tought me .

Good luck with a beautiful cue .

I see a lot of cues, and I would be hard pressed to call any of them dead straight.....and I only do this for the buyers sake, in case they are super, super picky, and not very knowledgeable about cues. I do not want to just say, 'cue is straight', and they have a problem, because they can see a sliver of light under the shaft or something.

Off the top of my head here are some of the cues I have sold on here, and there was a touch of light under the joint. In some of these cues, it is the taper of the cue, and is suppose to be like this.

-Gina(new)
-Southwest
-Blackcreek(new)
-Scruggs
-Gilbert
-Darrin Hill

That being said, this old Brunswick cue is a unique piece of history, even if it only rolls better then 99.5% of 100+ year old cues.:)

I am not familiar with what makes a 26 1/2, special or different from any other turn of the century brunswick. Any one care to give me a history lesson, and another free bump for this beautiful cue?

I am not an expert on antique cues, but have seen my share. Most old Brunswicks look like plain old house cues. The 26 1/2 is much more fancy with the veneers, mop or ivory wedge, shaft points, etc. This one also has the added ivory joint, which I have not seen a lot of.

Newer one piece Titlist cues can fetch $300+, and this cue is much older and ornate.

That being said, huge holiday price drop in this one. Now $700 shipped!!!!

Some nice trade offers, but looking more for a cash deal. A good trade is possible.

Love this cue. I have not seen this kind of nameplace lettering before. It kind of looks like decals rather than engraving, which might be nice if someone wanted to remove the name to make it "their own". Just curious if all of the points in the shaft have the three little dot inlays? Good luck with the sale.
