ANTIQUE POOL TABLE (Seriously $19,500?)

I can't find the listing now, but last week there was a table on the bay with around a $75,000 price tag. The description said It originally cost the owner around $150,000. It came with some reproduction cabinets made in Italy or somewhere to hold cues, and other accessories. It was a very sweet looking setup. I think the description said it was pictured in one of the billiard encyclopaedia s.

I'm no expert on tables, but I've seen tables that looked similar to the one on craiglist that the OP linked, and It's not usual for those to have a price tag of 20 grand or more. There's some tables still on the bay I believe that are priced in that range.
 
Get RKC to "Diamondize" it and you'd have something.... something besides a beautiful piece of furniture.

Thanks, table didn't amount to much. I thought there might be some decent cues but there weren't any.

On the topic of old tables, I know a guy who went to the home of a very wealthy family to level an old table. When he finished the rich guy refused to pay him because he said the original mechanic, who this guy had recommended, should have done it right.

I'm not going to put the guy's name on the internet but if I did people would be astounded that someone with that much money would be so cheap.
