Damn, BB, you are right again! That would be tough to shoot with him shaking you down like that.

I imagine the only defense to it would be nail polish.

Because this is a tourney, every pro can beat every pro with race to 9 or race to 11. To become a champion on every pool tourney you must have a big LUCK, that's why every time Reyes asked by many of his fans how can he achieve the trophy, he will reply LUCK.

Luck is a big factor to you if you want to be a champion. Just look Huidji see. i'm not saying that he is not a good player, but i believe that many player that have a skill above him that involved on the tourney but still he the one who won the trophy. Look at a semifinalist, who si Yukio, Fujian bo also not a big gun right there and there is Carlo Biado. Im sure many american do not know his name, but he is a really good money game now in phillipines.

Yang ching shun is another Big name that never achieve a major tourney trophy. But he is a king of asian money game a couple years ago. ALL Pinoy top player is respect his game. He beat Orcullo two time on Orcullo hometown and won hundred thousand dollar money.

Yes I understand all that but the better players will win more events in the long run than lesser players. Lining's been playing for a very long time...I first heard his name in the mid 90's and I'm sure he was around before that. Since then Archer, Mika, Strickland, Reyes, Pagulayan, Souquet etc have won several big events each...do you really think that's a coincidence? If Lining was really as good as they say then he would have eventually won a big event at some point.

Here's what I think happens: Lining probably is a highly skilled player and wins when gambling against other pros, but he probably gets nervous when getting to the later rounds of a big tournament with a capacity crowd watching and he probably makes bad mistakes which cost him a match.
I remember watching Bustamante years ago when he couldn't seem to win a major event. He would go far, semi-finals, and finals, but he would start missing in close matches and it would cost him the match. He didn't look confidant in those matches and everyone in the audience could sense he was going to lose.

News flash

What a lot of you consider majors do not get the Asian representation (whom are considered among the best players in the world) however tournament like the Japan Open (which Antonio won in 2006 and finished 2nd to Busty in 2008) do get the Asian player base. Deserving of # 1 ranking? He performed better then anyone else with that format which everyone else played under. Just because you haven't heard of some of the players from the Asian tournies take it to the bank there are a couple players from Taiwan that run out like water.

Another quick testament on Antonio he played Brian Groce (great player BCA amatuer champion) giving Brian the 6ball on the small track. During that time frame I couldn't think of a 20 players in the US who wanted a piece of Brian on the box.

I was reading an article for the WPA 10 ball championship, and it mentioned that Antonio Lining was the # 1 rated player in the world. No disrespect intended, but I was curious as to his credentials that would make him # 1. Somebody cure my curiosity.

Lining is the "real deal" . It's no accident. He's playing some of the best players in the world for money in Manila. You want to "prove" yourself? Come to "Star Billiards" in Manila. There are guys there that "you've" never heard of that will pound your ass into the pavement.

I could not of come close to saying this any better.
