ICCS Pictures

Jay,

It was a genuine pleasure to spend some time with you this weekend in Denver. We all had a great time, and the rare a special cues were everywhere at the Exhibition Hall. As usual, I found myself so busy I didn't get all the pictures I wanted.

Your pictures did a magnificent job of capturing many of the cues on display, and your diligence in taking the pictures and subsequently posting them is appreciated.

Many others in attendance were taking hundreds (no, thousands) of pictures, so if you took some, post'em!

Thanks in advance.

Will,

You are most welcome and once again thank you for the invitation. Since I was still traveling and without a computer, this was the easiest way to get them on the internet for all to see, appreciate, and enjoy.

Later I will post some directly in this thread and encourage others to do so as well since there are some gaps in my coverage.

The ICCS was a unique opportunity to not only see these magnificent cues but cues that are a part of billiards history. It was a great group of people. I made some new friends and got reacquainted with others I only have the opportunity to meet in a setting like this.

One of the interesting aspects of the show is the fact that there was an appreciation of the pure artistry, workmanship, and history untainted by prices and values.

I should also add that it wasn't all static cue displays. There was a tournament Thursday evening run by Chris Byrne and won by Andy Gilbert who edged-out Ken Kerner. It was a fun night at Felt Billiards and played on Diamond tables. It was the only time I shot pool on a table next to Nick Varner with Richard Black and Erie Gutierrez seated behind me.

Jay,

You did a heck of a job keeping everyone updated on ICCS. Great pics too from a phone camera, thoroughly enjoyed every image. Thanks so much for sharing and making this hobby still enjoyable. Cheers!

Thank you but the real credit goes to Will Prout and Tom Watters who go to tremendous effort to organize and stage this event almost entirely on their own and the volunteers who make and transport the display stands, setup the meeting room where the cues are displayed, and the cuemakers and collectors who travel great distances, at their own expense and take the risk of transporting their collections to share with others.

Jay, you gave us tons of eye candy on facebook and you managed to find my old Fanelli. I've been searching for it since I got back into pool a bit over a year ago. Happy to know it was part of an amazing show.

A thread entitled ICCS-Denver 2015-Pics has been started in the Main Forum for all to see.

Some of the attendees are loading a ton of individual pictures there for all to see.

I would ask that any additional pictures be added there to keep to just one thread.

Thanks.

Thanks Will since I am not a Facebook fan. I will check out the main forum.
