Any 24 hr. Pool Rooms in Baltimore, MD. anymore?

to answer this question is a matter of opinion buddy. but if your looking for action on the best, most consistant tables with aramath balls, 9 footers, would have to be Top Hat in Parkville most likely.
Top Hat has Brunswick Centennials, not aramiths... but yeah, if you are looking for action, this is the place. 9ft Gold Crown IIIs, most play decent, green simonis 860 cloth as well.
The new Green Room off of North Point Road in Essex/Dundalk has all barboxes, but has the most players, league teams. This is where all of the maryland Tournament's are held for the most part, APA tourney's that is...
More of a league and tournament place. A little action here from a few of the regulars, but not much, plus it's all barbox with nap cloth. They do have 1 ninefooter with the same cloth. Nice people here though. Great Pro shop too.

I agree, Charlies Pro Shop is the best in Maryland! But thanks for clearing up the balls at Top Hat! Anyway, Icon of Sin, you want some action tonight? first of 2009 maybe?

Cant tonight James... im on call for work... could this weekend though or at league next week, I dont care.

Then pool in MD is dead!

I was in Top Hat a couple of months ago. Was very quiet. Heard their Sunday tourney had <10 players the week prior, I can recall in years past seeing 20-40.

I like Big Daddy's in Glen Burnie. Wish I was closer.

I was gonna say Kelly's too. Although I haven't been to Top Hat in awhile. Since it's only like $2.00/ hour at Kelly's.

Is Kelly's the place right on Harford rd. in Parkville with the windows blacked out? Also noticed someone mentioned a good pro shop, where is that place at? I'm from cecil county and there is'nt anything up here except for bar league at the local dives. My friends and I used to play at the Billiard Club in Churchville but not sure if they are still around.Seems like they had around 18 tables all Olhausen 1 9ft. then half of the rest were bar size and other half 4x8's. Somethin like that it's been a long time, very little action and a lot of bangers mostly in the 16-24 age group.

Yes that's Kelly's and the pro shop is charlies at the green room in Dundalk(best in the country).

VIP Billiards in Ellicott City...

...may be open all night on the weekends, but you should call to make sure. To be honest I have not been there in >10 years.

are there any bars in the area where one might find friendly $10 & $20 games?

I'm not sure that VIP in Ellicott City is still open. When I went by there 'bout 5 weeks ago, there was all kinds of "construction stuff" on the outside and it looked like it had closed. They may have been remodeling but it did not look that way.

Man, I hate that - First Bluejay, then VIP right across the street. Don't even get me started on the loss of Bill and Billie's and USA Billiards. :frown:
