Any ambidextrous or excellent off-hand players?

Efren's very "amphibious" according to Danny DiLiberto

I once heard a guy say that he would give his right arm to be ambidextrous.

:D And, isn't it Danny DiLiberto who once said, when he watched Efren easily switch to his offhand and shoot shots that way throughout a match, that Efren was "amphibious"?

(Methinks his co-commentator was Jay Helfert -- Jay, if you're reading this, can you elaborate on whether Danny D. was kidding, or if it were confusion between terms?)

James Davis Sr. aka Bastrop plays very well left or right handed. A friend of mine found that out the hard way many years ago.

I'm sort of with a few others here. I'm right-handed, but shoot lefty. I took some time to try to learn how to shoot 'regular'-handed. I've run a rack here and there that way(probably an APA 5 or 6 that way), but haven't put much time into it in a while. I still shoot off-handed when I can't reach the shot normally. I can also break pretty well off-handed, but I break from the head rail. Making a closed bridge with my left hand is a little more awkward, so I use an open bridge while shooting that way.

Thanks for the replies all.

Does anyone actually spend time doing drills off-handed? If so, which ones?

I'm kinda thinkin' that maybe picking one's way thru straight pool racks would be good practice for the other side. You can kinda shoot anything, if need be, but you would have to get pretty proficient at moving the ball around and acquiring a soft touch.
