Any Bebot reviews

Camel bone makes a good alternative to ivory inlays and does not add much cost to the cue.

Les,
I respect your decision and I completely support it as well. I'm waiting to find out if I have any family members going home in the near future. I'll contact you in the near future to let you know when I'm going to have my cue built. Also, how far are you from Quezon city?

i may be a bit far from QC but there's no distance too far for a customer. ;)

thanks chris. but i'm afraid camel bone is not something we could easily get here. for ivory substitute we do with elforyn for the meantime. of course, we say its elforyn. ;)

water buffalo horns anyone? THAT we have plenty here. :grin-square: hey, it's a very good joint/buttcap material.

HMMM...interesting. To you have any pics of cues that you've used carabao horns on? It would just be interesting to see.

Also, I know there were some apprehensions as to why I use Western Union as mode of payment, and not PayPal.

I understand the concern.

I will show you something I haven't shown publicly.

These are the international payments I received for 2009 alone:

For just the first 2 months of 2010, here are the payment I received:

A closer look to see payment corresponding to shipment:

This month of March alone, I am about to ship 6 cues internationally, most likely next week.

Western Union is the safest and fastest for us and all our international customers had no problems with paying via WU at all. Paypal takes 3 weeks to credit the amount to my bank account, for it to be actual (cold) cash. Western Union credits real time, instantaneously. I will never ship anything without actual cash received so imagine this for example, granted IF I decided to use PayPal again (I used to have paypal account before), one buys a pre-owned cue from us via PayPal. Customer needs to wait like 3 weeks before I ship the cue because for me, on-line money is not money until it is cold cash I can hold in my hand. But with WU, customer pays today, I receive it the moment he makes the transfer, I ship the cue, all in one day. For my Asian customers, they get their cue in less than 24 hours. I ship by lunch today, they get their cue 10AM the next day. For USA, it takes around 3-4 days. For Europe, 5-6 days. I only ship via DHL and FedEx, to top our customer service. No slow and unsecured postal services. I don't see the reason why other people are afraid of WU, whereas PayPal is very unsecure, prone to on-line hacking at that, based on one of an AZ'er here who had a similar incident with PayPal before; it was posted here in AZ. I stopped using PayPal because a hacker who only needed my user name & password and viola, all my funds are at his disposal. But for WU, I need to appear personally to a WU outlet to claim so identity fraud is almost impossible. I may be old-school, but it fits us better. Those are the main reasons why I only use WU. I have nothing against those who use PayPal if it is a convenient way for most. But it has to be a 2-way street, it has to be also convenient AND SECURE for us. I firmly believe we also have the right to set our mode of payment.

Some people tend to overlook that the risk is far greater to us than the customer because one mistake from us, will destroy our good name, our entire business. Whereas one bad customer can just change nicknames and go on with his life. I am not insane to destroy our good name, our entire business for a measly few hundreds or thousands of dollars - or any amount at all. We may be poor, we may not be providing perfect, highly-valuable and appreciated cues like most, but this I can say without blinking: we're straight.

FYI.

Les,

after reading this thread and seeing how open and honest you are willing to be regarding
how you conduct business and how nicely you explained your company's beliefs,

but i will keep in contact with you

Hi Dedy,

Yes, my apologies. But you know, me not being in the shop as often as I want doesn't mean I'm not on top of everything. Photos of your cue in-progress are being taken as it progresses by Bebot's son Mervin, as well as the other cues in-progress. I just haven't gotten the photo files yet. Physical absence from the shop does not stop me from giving the service our customers like you deserve. I will have those photos posted in time sir. Thanks for your kind words and understanding.

Les

thanks sir. the documents i presented were supposed to be private but i just felt that i need to at least explain the reasons behind our procedures. and to show that we do deliver. there might be some delays before due to uncontrollable circumstances like the super typhoon that hits us, and the drought that is hitting us now (up to 40 degrees celsius), one thing i can guarantee with my life is that we deliver - 100%. i show you how we make our cues. i show you that what we claim we make are actually being made, right in our shop. we are not perfect and our services are limited, but we will never make false claims. we are transparent as we can be... simply because we have nothing to hide. :embarrassed2:

I have a review of my Bebot Bautista Jump Cue going up soon. Just search for my handle and jump cue in the title. It will be obvious.
