Moving from Forks WA to Montrose CO on the 20th and am curious if there are any billiards halls around. Not really trying to play in a bar if I can avoid it. Thanks in advance.

Good luck, ran into a good player last yr from G. Junction, nothing really there he said.
I think your outta luck, maybe a sr center might have tables set.
CO bars in the hills can be what they'll be, Fremont county proves that.
Lived in Manitou Springs nearly fifty yrs.
I like the town elevation Allot, I've been here pretty much since 72. Front Range.

Im buying a house so I might have to just fork out the money for a diamond and find some friends who like to play down there. We'll see.

That will be your best bet. Pool in Colorado anywhere other than the front range is nearly non existent. I live way up high and bought a Diamond large years ago, but need to travel two hours to get my fix.
Montrose has a lot to offer but the game of colliding spheres is not on the menu.

Welcome, I moved here seventies after college.
Left once for five yrs and came back.
Hard to not like it here.
I'm selling my hm Now.... just/listed.
Moving to Trinidad, they have an Amtrak station.
The middle of winter she rolls.
Dave Isaacs outta Ft. Collins is Thee Diamond Table rep/mechanic, kinda lucky with that :).
I might have a 7' for sale if my next home doesn't fit it. Likely spring.
Here's what I'd do if I lived in Montrose, find FB or another internet page where locals go to find lost dogs or local events upcoming.

A couple of bars with a Valley or two.
Or the rec center, same deal, no booze.

Pour Ernie's in Delta has three Valleys, 20 miles north.

Im just not the biggest fan of drunk people. Sipping a few beers or some straight whiskey is fine in moderation but people ruin the fun when hammered. Ill have to invest in a table for the house.

Thanks for the replies.

I go to GJ about once every month or two......the only public place to play with a 9 footer is currently Cornhole etc....

It plays pretty decent, and they have about 8-10 bar tables. Pretty nice place, owner is a nice guy. There are quite a few decent players over in GJ, not a ton of them gamble. If you are just wanting to play, I would start there. There are a couple of guys with really nice Diamonds at their houses that are setup nicely. One guy has a couple 9 foot diamonds and a couple heyball tables also. If you are looking to gamble, message me and I can point you who to get ahold of and/or I am over there every several weeks and am up to play some one pocket.
