Hi to all... I recently moved to Jerusalem, Israel where I am living with my son and his family. Very shortly I will be receiving a shipment of all my stuff from the USA - including my carom cue. I tried google searching for a place to play three cushion in Israel (Jerusalem, Tel Aviv - literally anywhere) but no confirmed sightings.

Has anyone been here and solved this problem? Let me know if you've played on a carom table in Israel. Israel is a pretty small country so I don't mind travelling if I have to. Thanks!

The title and cover illustration are better than the book, but I have read it ...

But to actually help a bit, I turned up Lincoln Billiards which seems to be a chain in Tel Aviv, Jerusalem and maybe some other locations. Pictures show some 6x12 snooker or Chinese 8-Ball tables along with some pool tables, but I didn't spot a table without pockets. However, I found a place called Karambol at David Pinkas St 45 in Netanya, Israel, so just based on the name, maybe they have billiards tables.

Good luck. Let the forum know what you turn up and what the local scene is like.

Thanks RabbiHippie! Lincoln is the largest chain in Israel with six locations. All their pictures (and descriptions) reflect pool and snooker tables (more than thirty in each location.) I sent them a message asking if they have a 3-cushion/carom table in any of their locations. Waiting...

Karambol needs further investigation...

I also sent a request to the Israeli Association for Billiard Sports (ISPA). Their website reads:

ISPA is the body in charge of billiard sport in Israel and from its foundation is associated with European and International billiard sports organizations: the EBSA and the IBSF in Snooker, the WPA EPBF and the EBC in American Pool, and the CEB and UMB in Carom Billiard. ISPA is also familiar by the International Federation for Billiard Sports.

Since they mention the CEB and the UMB I'm hoping they might have some info on where to find a carom table...

Well… here is an update… I got a personal call from a gentleman at Lincoln Billiards… but sadly he confirmed — no carom tables in any of their locations…

Still waiting on a couple more possibilities… but the leads are shrinking fast…

Did you inquire on the kozoom forum?

Prob worth the effort and beyond that, perhaps an email to one of the federations or the UMB?

All from the comfort of home...good luck!
