Seems like these people can handle it https://pooltablemoverspanamacity.com/
Is there someone who specializes in moving pool tables? I may need to get a 9' Diamond moved about 500 miles and set up/leveled. I don't want to do it myself. Suggestions?
Unless you have a 3 piece slate, 99.9% of everyone is going to say no to a 1 piece 9ft slate pool table....and the .01% that will say they will....are only after money, and have no idea what they're getting themselves into. Call Diamond as they may have a delivery in the area and can move it for you.
Man I was wondering what ever happened to you. Hope things work out with the move

That suggestion may work for most pool tables, but no for a Diamond 9ft proam with a 1 piece, 618lb slate & 500lb body.Depending on what you have access to (truck or a minivan, depending on if the slate is 3 piece), you could save some cash by doing the disassemble and moving it yourself.
Setting it up might be a different story, that might be better left to someone that does that on the regular.
If you have someone move it, you're requiring them to commit to an entire day of disassembling, moving it (500 miles), and setting up. You're looking at a minimum of 8 hours just for the drive one way, that's not including any unforeseen events.
If you move the table yourself, it's "home", and you're only restricted to when the local setup crew can put it together for you.

The last time I had a 9' Diamond (which I bought from mr8ball) I had a few buddies help with the move. We had a box truck, a cart, and lots of muscle. For the sake of not causing any damage to the table, I'd rather pay a grand to someone who can handle it easier. Would anyone (Glen?) have an idea how much Diamond would charge to move it and level it?
Only a phone call away to find out buddy, 812-288-7665 ask for Aaron.
So I haven't had any luck. Aaron from Diamond said that it would be several thousand dollars, and he recommended I have a freight company move it. All of the freight companies that I called "don't move pool tables". This is super frustrating. I think I'll end up buying a cart that can support a couple thousand pounds and hire some dudes to help me get it on the cart and onto a moving truck. Does anyone have any solid advice on how to do this with minimal damage/risk?
The cart I found is about 42"(L) X 24"(W) X 10"(H). I think if I carpet the top of the cart, and maybe put a 6" X 6" block along one side of the cart, then the table can sit on it's side and be pretty stable. But for all I know, the legs are going to snap off as soon as I tip it. Any advice will be helpful (unless it's blackballed's usual BS).![]()
Several grand to move a table? That seems like robbery but then again, I don't do it so maybe that's right. Any chance you could sell it and require pick up and then just buy a new one when you get where you're going?
