any vendors showcasing new products?
I was disappointed, it seemed there were much fewer vendors this year. And the deal in the pro arena. $10. General admission put you on the chump side. Players that had no chance were teamed up against each other. The big names were all playing on the $20. side.

For anybody wanting to try a "playing cue", make sure you see Ricky and try the Becue.
They aren't "lookers" and they aren't made by customs cue makers with really big names and recognition, but they are probably one of the best "playing" cues you will ever hit with.
They aren't for EVERYBODY, but all of my other cues have stayed in the closet since I've started playing with mine.
FWIW, I have an Ultra-skin soft tip on it and I would recommend everyone try Ultra-skins before you go buying $20-plus tips.

Where is Ricky with the live photos and comments from the expo floor?
I'd like to see what is brewing at the BeCue booth as well.
.
Are you telling me they actually separate the matches with name players to people who pay 10 bucks more? Or was it $10 to watch the one loss side and $20 to watch the winners bracket?
Why not just one fee and you can go wherever?
I've been so so so spoiled from 12 years of attending Turning Stone classics, I attended the expo a few years back and decided not to come back until the pro tourney/spectator situation was improved. That was my main reason to go...to watch pro pool played. Any it's not the money...I would gladly pay a door fee, but being able to follow live scores, live brackets, and stream from my phone are all appreciated.
The expo is no joke when it comes to being a Vendor. The average Vendor is in the hole 2500 plus just getting there. It's the cost of doing business. People wheeling and dealing in the isles can be discouraging, people low balling can also be discouraging. The one that really pissed me off is when I saw Cue makers without a booth bringing thier cues to sell in the isles. Total disrespect and I don't care who they are. I saw this the last 2 times I visited the Expo. I haven't been back since. Can't stand to see that happen to my friends.
