I tend to like some grain in my favorite cue woods -- My favorite is the redish swirly grained cocobolo, I like bacote too which plays great.

Hey Brent, feel free to send me these nicer pieces ANY time you wish My list of purpleheart lovers is pretty small buddy, it seems noone likes it cause of its purple color. lol Its been mentioned before that its easy to get a game if you walk in with a purple cue...I'm gonna have to try that sometime I gotta leave this town first, lol, but I think that would be quite the adventure!

Hey, can you or have you ever been shown how to make sneaky pete's? I'm still looking for my ultimate cue! ebony with a purpleheart forearm. I almost had one once, but that fell through...I've waited long enough, time to have it!! lol

he emailed me those same pictures almost a year ago
wanted me to copy best i could

While imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, I guess I'm with Jimbo on this issue (Oops! Can I say that on here?). Thank you for not making it identical. The cue is special to me and Jim Buss is a good friend.

oh, i wouldn't have even if i could. he just wanted the same woods with purpleheart butt cap and joint. i don't want to "copy" anyone. when talking to someone via emails from the phillipines it's very hard to convey exactly what he wants to me. the pics helped a lot but i already had it in my head of how i was going to do it before he sent me pics.

it's definitely a "brent" , not a buss.
