I know Mike Grosso is in the area, but in case he's busy, I figured I'd post here. Looking for a good 14.1 player to waste a few hours. It's been months, but the dust has settled at work, at least for this long weekend. I'd like to get some 14.1 time while I have a chance. After the weekend we're ramping up again so it'll probably be months before I can play again.

Texas......

Decorating the Cactus ??? LOL

LOL.... Stevie. That is about true down here with the kind of summer we had. Lost a lot of bushes along the house. I cut them all down. Still,..... the Lights will go up no matter what the weather..... LOL

PS: "PoolMouse" you need to get in touch with "9BallJim" here on AZ. He plays a lot up at the Den and also plays in the 14.1 League. Good guy/good player.

Sorry, I've been putting up Christmas lights outside today.

Post pictures! I'm heading to Temple, TX to watch the 9 Ball tournament. I wish the tournament postings' Subject Line started with the STATE so I could have known about this in advance. I would have played in it. :(

Straight Pool Player in DFW area

There is an older guy, gray hair, maybe 50's, in the DFW area , I think his name is shep or sheppard, and he plays straight pool like a god !!

Great teacher too !

I saw him recently at the clicks in arlington, he ran over a hundred while i watched in amazement.

I also saw him at ck's on marsh in dallas this past week. On a crazy tight 9 footer with shimmed pockets, he was running racks like it was nothing, and talking on his cell phone at the same time. Who the hell is this guy ???

Don't know if he plays straight pool, and this is barely relevant to what you asked. But if you run into a young man named Caleb Haley, please tell him I said hi. He'll go down in history as the only player who ever lost to me at Derby City. Thanks much. GF

14.1 in dallas

I think dick lane is retired, don't know for sure, and bob vanover must surely be retired by now. These two come to mind. Both great players in their day.
