I have a ton...I've been around Scotty for over twenty years & have collected quite a few as i'm sure many of you have also...Here's 1 that happened over 20 years ago in New Orleans..Scotty rolls into the sports palace well after 3:00 am drunk as a skunk with his new girlfriend who he's now been with forever & is the mother of his children & right off the back gets a propersition bet To jump off the Huey long bridge...If any of ya'll know Scotty..He is known to have grown up being a high diver & has jumped off many bridges across the country..Well it was the "black Corperation" as we use to call them & they say...Hey Scotty..Heard you like to jump of bridges..bet u wont jump off ours..bet $500...Scotty reaches into his pocket and pulls out his whole bankroll which happens to be $4200..and says I SEE THAT $500 & RAISE U $3700..GONNA CST U $4200 TO WATCH ME FLY..so the corperation huddle & get the the money together and sayk..bet....They travel top the Huey long bridge which is over 300 feet high to water at around 4:00am in Starvin marvins van from Baton Rouge with all the principals that were in the bet along with brand new girlfriend Malina..They Stop the van at top & Malina is crying up a storm Screaming NOOOOOOO Scotty PLEASE DON'T....Scotty looks over the edge and then goes get eye to eye with 1 of the betters & says...NOW LOOK...THE BET AINT WHETHER I LIVE OR DIE..IT"S WHETHER I JUMP...SO WHEN I JUMP...U HAND THE MONEY TO MELINA...then says with the current you can pick me over by stump blv..then walks over to edge..And in his own words..when I looked down...couldn't see nothing but blackness so I looked at the horizon and could see light so I jumped out like I was trying to grab the horizon....lmao...Never in my life as i met anybody else that lived for today with no regard for tomorrow as Scotty T..That's what made him such a warrior through the years was his go for broke, ton of heart character.

Scotty T

That was an amazing story!

I too have known Scotty for many years, here's a short story for ya!

Well back in the very early 80's...me, Good Time Charlie, my brother Calvin, and Scotty were traveling together, we stopped in over at a bar in Vicksburg,Miss. , it didn't take Scotty long to get a game with a local pool player.

I was at the bar having a beer when I heard "WHOP!", chairs falling, and the sound of someone hitting the floor!.......

well sure enough Scotty was standing over this guy shaking his finger at him saying, "I told you not to shark me while I was shooting!"

Scotty never has been one to try and get over on!

Wikipedia says the Huey Long Bridge is 135 feet above the water. Still like 100 feet above where I would want to jump in for money. I dont even know if I could belly up to the table at 35 feet. Did Scotty get hurt at all in this jump?

...to continue the story....part II..

Scotty drops into the water and disappears and everyone goes to the pickup point. Scotty told me he broke something...forget what it was...an arm or rib. He crawls out of the water like the Swamp Thing and tells the corp that if they double the bet...he'll go back to the bridge and climb up the cabes 50 ft and jump again. Scotty had us laughing at the IPT event in Reno with this story.

Keith was there during the story and chimed-in, "Betting Scotty won't jump off anything is drawing dead."

My bad...For some reason I thought it was like 316 ft..but either way it's a hell of a jump...there's been several people over the years to use the bridge for suicide & here he's jumping for a bet...lol

That is one narrow-ass bridge. All y'all are crazy for even stopping a van at the top and walking around up there!

Here's 1 more !

My buddy Gary Abood was at this tourney up north that was at a poolhall next to a lake...Scotty was a lil short of funds & was trying to pump up...So Scotty pulls out all his money..which was like $167 dolllars at the time & makes a bet with this guy...Tells the guy...I bet u I can walk across the lake...ON THE BOTTOM...the guys like ok..kinda amazed & confused at this propositon.,.So they were doing some renovations to the place so there was all kind of building material around...So Scotty finds some chains, cement cinder blocks and a piece of flemzy pvc pipe...chains himself with the cinder blocks with the chains and uses the pvc as a blow pipe to breath out of & proceeds to start slowly making his way into the lake..Gary said at 1st it looked like he was going to make it & then scotty gets into deeper water and the pvc pipe starts swaying back & forth & then SWOOSH...the pipe goes completely under..Remember that he's strapped down with cement weights...Gary said there was a lil aluminum hall boat on the bank..a couple of guys hurry up & paddle out to where Scotty's pipe had disappeared & they dive in & rescue him...Said he was coughing and spitting up water & came really close to drowning...I asked Gary if the guy made him pay for not making it...Least the guy was a sport & didn't take his money..just amazing for $167 dollar bet...when I asked Scotty about it all he said was..."THAT 1 DIDN'T WORK OUT TO WELL FOR ME"....Only Scotty T...lol..got to love the guy.
