Any ideas on this unknown cue, well built plain jane. Weird joint.

I'm not that knowledgeable

That looks a lot like the Smelke joint I have seen around

First...I don't know...

Neat looking cue...very nice wood. Looks like a nylon wrap. Wierd joint... almost like a Schmelke. Could be one of those old TJ series (I think that is what they were called) Adam cues...they had a "twin joint".

Odd joint

The nylon wrap and the dual threaded joint looks almost like what
Viking did/does. Not quite but close. Joe might have hit it with the
Adams dual joint. In any event get rid of it. If you overtighten just a bit
and the threads locks it won't come apart.

it doesn't look anything like the adams twin joint.

I have seen Early Adam cues with that joint, but I have never seen one with that bumper. I suspect that the cue could be a import from the 1970's, many companies were coping Adams during that time frame.

Either way, it looks like a nice cue with some great wood, and the Adams cue I have seen with that joint hit real good.

Take care
