I was just curious if anyone knew anything about her,she won the US Open in the early 90s,she was out of Monticello close to me and i always heard alot about her,just wondering if she still plays currently?,the last thing i heard was she was possibly playing on the Spirit Tour in Florida.Thanks in advance for any info.

I don't know about the Spirit Tour, but she did play in a few Qualifiers on the NEWT (North East Women's Tour before it became JPNEWT) tour. She was quite the player, too. I think the last time she played was at Amsterdam Billiard Club on the East side when Candi Rego was running NEWT. I would say this was 6 years ago at least.

Man could she nail those wing shots!

Fast Lenny , I have a AccuStats video dated 1990 of her playing Ewa Mataya in Norfolk , US Open finals, commentary by Bill Incardona and Beardon, probably out of print , if you think it would be cool to watch it then I will send it to ya to watch if you will send it back. Send PM if so.

I just popped it in and watched it , she was fearless!
 
Got married, to a guy with a lot of dough, was the way I heard it. Last time I saw her was in Binghamton, about 7 months pregnant. JoAnn played like the men, at least in her attitude toward the game, reminded me a lot of Jean Balukas. Haven't heard anything about her in years.
 
The first and last time I saw Joann Mason Parker was May 17-18 1997. She played with us at County Line Billiards on the Mali Ladies Florida Tour (before the ladies spirit tour). She only played with us the one time, but she did win the tournament.
 
I have the DVD of her playing in the finals of the L.A. Open against Peg Ledman in 1992. PM me if you are interested.

She was a beauty and she could play.
