Frank was quite a guy. Took a lesson from him at his shop in Racine and it was a memorable occasion. After it ended we met his son Kelly at a buffet that Frank was a regular at. He allowed me to buy him supper and then Kelly showed up and we all chatted for a bit.

Frank was a straight pool man down to his toes. His shop was filled with memorabilia, he was happy to show me his signed one dollar bill from New York Fats which is what Fatty called himself initially.

Last time I saw Frank was at Red Shoes, Dennis Walsh had picked him up at the Amtrak Station and brought him to watch a bank pool tournament.

Miss the old grump, he was terrific to talk with! His cues were like him no nonsense and not a lot of frills. One of my very best friendships came about when I posted here, { on AZ } that I wanted to buy a Sailor. A member contacted me and invited me to his home to look at three Sailors he owned. We have been close friends ever since!

I should add that Frank made a great cue with playability above all else. A local former pro, Tom Karabatsos has played with a Sailor as long as I can remember and surely still does today. Good luck with the sale!
