When you clicked on browse & added the file.... it show's the file name but you have to click "upload" towards the bottom right of the screen... did you do that? That's the only thing I can think of that's easy to miss...

Yes, I clicked upload. But it didn't show up on my message, so I deleted my message, looked pretty dumb without the photo!.

LOL, I saw the post before you took it off. :p

I'm not very computer savvy so I don't know what else could've happend. Have you tried it over in the test forum?

Let me try to offer some help! :)

There is a a limit to the FILE SIZE of an attachment. Sometimes folks may try to download a file from their computer which is a HIGH-RESOLUTION .jpeg file, and it will not upload because of its size. Most .jpeg files have to be reduced in size.

I usually COPY the high-resolution .jpeg file and PASTE it to my DESKTOP as opposed to changing my original .jpeg file.

The easiest way I know how to REDUCE a high-resolution file is as follows. If you have Windows XP operating system, click the START button and then click the PAINT program.

Within the PAINT program, click the FILE tab. Click OPEN in the dropdown window. Locate the copy of your high-resolution .jpeg file on the DESKTOP. Then click OPEN. The high-resolution .jpeg file will be displayed within the PAINT program.

Click on the IMAGE button located at the top (fourth one over from the left). Then click STRETCH/SKEW in the dropdown window. Change the HORIZONTAL and VERTICAL measurements in equal percentages from 100 to a lower number. I like to use 25 for both.

Then SAVE the new settings by giving the .jpeg file on your desktop a different name. Now you are ready to add a picture to your post.

At the bottom of the REPLY TO THREAD window in the AzBilliards Discussion Forum, click the MANAGE ATTACHMENTS button.

Then click the BROWSE button and locate your newly named and reduced-resolution .jpeg file on your desktop.

Click UPLOAD and wait for several seconds. As it is uploading, a message will appear which says UPLOADING FILES/PLEASE WAIT. When it is finished uploading, then click the CLOSE THIS WINDOW button.

Hope this helps a little! :p

Yep, it had no picture. I'm not that computer savvy either, as you can well guess. I'll try what JAM suggested and that will surely take care of it. Thanks!

LOL. I know it looks like a monster, but after you do it a few times, it takes only seconds. When I re-read my post, it looked overwhelming to me, too. :p

Since I do attach pictures often, I just click away and the above-referenced process truly goes quickly. After you do it a few times, it will be easy for you, too.

LOL, I forgot about the file size! DUH ME :p JAM is right, the above is very easy to do, it just looks like a lot because she did a great job in explaining in detail exactly what to do. JAM posted this for someone else a few months ago which was very beneficial to me. However, I just got a new computer & it doesn't have the regular paint program. It's a paint program but it's different and it no longer has the stretch/skew option. The option to change the size is confusing and time consuming for someone like myself that knows pretty much nothing about this stuff. :(

Running Windows XP you can also just right click the picture and click EDIT. It will take you to PAINT where you can do what JAM said.

Thanks! I'll tell him. I wasn't able to keep up with it, I got involved in this Katrina disaster. But I'm on here again to keep up with this Carolina tourney. I talked to him today, he said he was playing Frost today. I met Frost a few years ago when he was at Gabe's in Tulsa. Nice guy! But I have to root for Gabe on this one!
