I'll be there for teams only, and I am wondering if there will be any pro tournaments I can relax and watch during the dates I mentioned. It seems like everything is going off the week before the team events start, i.e. the TAR matches, and the World Pool Masters.

Honestly if you go to the Practice Area you will see GREAT POOL FOR FREE.................................

I am pretty sure the world 10-ball championship is going on at the same time. I watched it last year when I was there for the teams.

World Pool Master is May 8-10.
The Predator 10 ball is May 11-16.
Bartrum vs Morris -$20,000 in TarBar-May 8-9.

The BCAPL GRAND MASTERS event is May 9-11. This year we will have a MONSTER field. Gomez. Appleton, Karl Boyes, SVB, Mick Hill, Stevie Moore, Dennis Hatch, Jeff Beckley, - those are off the top of my head. We are still getting the entries and they can sign up till the event (unless the field is full).

Plenty of GREAT pool to watch.

Nice field. Justin B. is entered as well but doesn't match up to those World Champions.

How many Master teams do you have signed up? And how is the overall participation going to be with the economy and all? I remember someone saying the DCC was down about 10% and wondered if the same was for the bangers of the pool league.

Thanks

Watchez - it seems that we are tracking about 6% under last years sign ups.

It is too early to tell since we are still working on entries received 10 days ago.

In another week we will be just about dug out and have some decent numbers for an accurate comparisons.

We are expecting around 6,600 players - down about 400 from last year. But time will tell. Still a bunch of pool players.

The masters team entries are the same as of 10 dyas ago - will let you know when we get better data.

Thanks Mark - down 6% I think is actually great. You probably don't as the league owner but in the economy of the last year, it is a great turnout.

I saw one of the members of Pour House a few weeks ago and he told me that they would not be at the BCA this year for the Master's team event. I think those guys have been going for almost 20 years.

To come up with a plan to increase the Master team entrees would make me happy. It seems like with the new people that qualify as a master player each year along with team's being shut out of the Open team event due to a high finish, the entrees should go up, not down.

One way would be to not allow any Grand Master players to participate in the Open Teams Event.
