We getting a podcast Thursday this week? Haven't had one in so long i'm up for listening to Mark G. tell pool war stories in Alaska in the 1960's. Johnnyt was in Fairbanks from 1963-1965. The bars were a hustlers dream. Johnnyt

Justin is in the middle of a couple of important projects and is tied up.

The pool world as been a little slw - bt there will be one next Thursday.


Fairbanks was quite the place in mid 1960-1970's! 1st and 2nd avenue were non stop action.

I went to school at UAA in Fairbanks in 1964. Hit the bars starting in 1967 or so.

Remember Polaris Bar (in Polaris hotel)? Plus the Riverside and a coupe others? The Big I (international)

Yes I remember the Polaris. I brought many a women there. I believe there were 30 bars in Fairbanks when I was there. I still miss the chili at most of the bars. After a bowl of that you could walk out in a t-shirt at -60 below. Crazy but good times. Johnnyt
