Any Thomas case experts out there?

I have a 2x4 Thomas case that I received a few days ago from Nick Serdula. I was told by Nick that the case is Leather and could in fact be ostrich. After examining the case closely this evening it looks like whatever ostrich type material it is has been sewn to a leather backing. Also the ostrich material is thin and has some sort of webbed backing. If there is anybody out there who can properly identify the case and its materials please let me know. I just don't wanna call it genuine and it in fact be a synthetic material. I tried e-mailing Mr. Thomas but the email address I got from the American Cuemakers Association is not a valid email account anymore. Please feel free to comment.

It looks like vinyl, I've got a couple of these and the leather pouches are actually raw leather inside. I'm no expert, just my 2 cents.

Sounds right by description, and pics look like vinyl to me.
Nick may have made a mistake on this one.
have you talked to him? he is sure to make it right if he was mistaken.

this is one of the thomas cases he built for Mueller's catalog back in the late 90's.

he didnt sign them...they were built here in Houston TX and covered in vinyl

Nick lives 30 minutes from me and is a good guy.. He will do you right.. PM me about the case.. I may just buy it from you so you can get your money back.

or Nick if you do a return on the case please PM me about the case.
 
Any mistake made, if it's on Nick's end will be taken care of for sure......

I sold this case as leather with ostrich print. I sold it for $250.00. Just what I paid Bogie for it. I gave it away. I sold it to onthebreak even after he told me he was sending money for a cue then backed out of a deal.
I will gladly take the case back minus shipping and the cost of a box insured if it turns out to be vinyl. Smells like leather.
And I still think the case is leather. I was going to call Chris today and make sure the case was leather. So I will still do that. I also have to say this buyer is someone I will avoid in the future. I always say satisfaction gaurenteed. Well one week later I have a PM and this thread is started.
I just now responded. What a joke.
Send that case back. Bogie has asked about it many times and says it is a $425 case. I believe him. I will send you $225.00 when I recieve the case. Start another thread about how I kept $25 dollars.

Nick...First off I was told by you the case was infact leather and it isn't. Second I sent you a money order for $250 so don't try to rob me a second time ( I will post the receipt later if need be). I believe you selling me this case as leather and it not being... with all things handled through the postal service would qualify as mail fraud. Third is if you were upset at me backing out of the cue why not just say so instead of just sticking me with this case... I was told by you that you were happy I backed out the cue deal because you didn't wanna sell it for what you had agreed on. And soon there after you posted the Scruggs for sale like $600 or $700 more than you agreed to sell it to me for.Last I didn't receive the case until Friday night as you had to wait for my money order to make it to you as my thirty perfect transactions on here were not good enough for you to trust me. And you say I am the one you should avoid doing business with...Please...

and for the record nick this thread wasn't started to bash you... it was started to identify what you sold me...All you needed to do was respond to my pm inquiring about a refund..... you drug it out in the open. as for me sending you the case first its not gonna happen... choose somebody mutual to handle the swap and we will send them to that person at the same time as I don't know that you are trustworthy...

Nick... stop trying to save face. The thread had nothing derogatory about you until you brought it here. I was just trying to find out if my feeling that it wasn't real was true. I sent you a pm asking about a refund and you posted this sh@t on here about me... I sent you the money order expecting that you knew what you were talking about when it came to the case. Boy was I wrong in trusting you.

Nick, please explain to myself and everyoneelse why it is you had to receive my money order before you would ship the case... and now I need to send you the case back before you will send me money? I hve several really strong references here... why is it you do not trust me? is it because you were trying to scam me from the start? Were you that upset that I backed out of the Scruggs deal that you had to do this to me?

all the people who have been sending pm's to nick all morning trying to buy the case for $300 plus please send me a pm and you can have it for the $250 he beat me out of... Nick refuses to send my money until he hets the case and inspects it because I am untrustworthy... you'd think I was the liar here. When I suggested we send it and the money to a third party he refuses. I guess that's how Nick works...

Case has been sold pending payment to BP3000 as a non-leather case. I appreciate BP3000 keeping me from having to deal with Nick's conditional return policy... Nick, good luck to you and buyer beware...
