Yes topic kind of has everything I'm looking for a tip that got same feel and sound and play of a good sniper tip. Any suggestions or recommendations please with no modification tips, I want factory tips without any modifications like milk soaking or heat or pressing that's just not for me ? Thanks

Some told me that elk master is close, but I kinda doubted a cheap tip to be as good but let me know

I used to use sniper, tried a kamui clear brown soft on one of my cues, feel is the same but i think it grips the cb better.

UltraSkin hard is pretty close. At 3bux/tip they've gotta be one of the best deals in pool.

Try Talisman's new Tip. It was in Beta Test not long ago.

Tony sent me a half dozen to try out. Yes, they are the same color as a Sniper.

I haven't installed one on any of my cues yet, but I did install a couple on a couple of other players cues. For free of course, as I got them for nothing. I was looking for Feed Back for Tony over making money.

One fellow in particular is a total freak when it comes to tips and equipment. Trust me on this, if he didn't like them 100%, I would have heard about it long ago.
Rob has had nothing but good things to say about them. And he has had them long enuff now that if they had packed down to a level of where he no longer liked them, they would have been changed out also.

Another Buddy who received a Free tip passed away before he could play another game with his cue. I will have to check for Feed Back at a later date should we ever meet up again.

These are obviously a well built Tip as the Talisman of Old are also.

As always, I will remain to be loyal to the Ultra Skin Tips as they are my main tip that I install. It is just that there are many ways to Skin a Cat as well.
Pretty much why I will always stock tips other than the Skins, as players do have other preferences.

Best two non layered tips are "triangle" and " blue diamond"

Why not just use sniper:confused:

I was wondering how long it would take for someone to say that :p

I was curious about that myself. If you like a particular tip, why not continue usingi it instead of looking for something else with the exact same qualities and playability. Unless they are no longer available.

never played sniper until I got one on a cue I picked up. thought it played pretty nice. if you like sniper, stay with 'em, would be my thought.
or have they changed ?

I really like the Onyx.

Supposed to be the same leather used for the Sniper, but different treatment process. I think they play pretty similar, but all the Onyx tips I've tried have been super consistent.

I think snipers have changed, the new ones have a black like in them
maybe as a indicator to when you should change your tip. The old ones did
not. I know the old ones had to stay wet when cutting or you'd run the risk
of the tip delaminating.

Talisman medium...:thumbup2:

They're no longer available in my country and I don't order tips online I just buy from the cue repairman near my pool hall he used to have sniper but now he stopped bringing them.

Sniper tips

I have installed a few hundred sniper tips .
There are just to many better made tips on the market to stock them any more.
Seen way to many of them delaminate...

Talisman medium.

Nothing wrong with those either, Philly. I bought a box of Soft and that is what I have been installing for some. Never a complaint on the Softs.

I do try to play with pretty much every tip that I have, that way I can ask a Player and try to Judge a bit better on what they may like.

Unfortunately, I wish that I could play Pool all day, almost like I used to and be able to test out lots of different ones.

I have a Navigator on my Main Cue now with decent results. Also have one Zan that I have been itching to try, but it has to takes it's turn in line. I know that the Zans are good,
just that I would like to feel it also.

Now, I know this isn't a Thread about Breaking but, I couldn't be more pleased with the new Taom breaking tip.

Asbanni, I will check later this evening when I hit the shop to tie up a few Spring Flies for fishing. If I have 2 Beta Talisman, I will send you one. However, I am saving one for myself.

As long as you are willing to give me a bit of Feed Back that I can pass along to Tony at Talisman, then all will be well. I will send you a message as soon as I open the tin to see how many are in there.

Sending me tip overseas here I am in the Middle East it would probably cost far more than the tip itself that's why I don't order online it's pointless so if you decide not to send me I understand.

I always try to find one locally.

I checked Buddy and only one left. Tony is in Thailand. Send him an email and ask for one of the new ones to test.

Or, I can do it for you. PM me your email address and I will pass it on to Tony.

I will bet that he will send you one, as he is a nice guy.

And No, I won't sell your email address to any Porn Sites. Hahaha.

Just tried sniper tips get very hard over time but no issues with grip & mis cue issues. speed control & little more deflection. going with g2 soft as i have great results on any cue. personal opinion only think there best playing layered tip on market. trick is installation knowledge of these so there is no mushrooming issues.
