Looking for advice on any tournaments in West Virginia, Western Pennsylvania, Western Maryland or Northern Virginia. They can be weekly, monthly or one time events. Doesn't matter how big or how small. Any guidance is appreciated.

I prefer bar tables but open to any tournaments. I didn't put this in the tournament thread since I am not advertising a tournament. And because it will get many more views here.

There's a couple weekly tournies in Martinsburg. If you're local, or know the area I can give you names of the clubs.

Winchester action billiards has a tournament about every weekend on nine foots. It is handicapped and no pro level players. They have FB pages for each tournament. 9 ball 10 ball and starting an 8 ball in the new year. Good Player A. Smoking allowed so keep that in mind. Its just a pool hall no frills, food, bar etc.

Tournaments

Winchester Action Billiards has the best one day tournament around. Payouts are great. Like the earlier post, its a old school pool room (not many left}. 8- Gold Crown 4,s.Smoking is allowed . They don't serve food or alcohol. They have snacks and drinks. They do have menus of local places that deliver food . They only allow 32 players and there is always a waitlist. Search there name on Facebook and for the tourney page, search " Winchester action monthly 9 ball tournament" and the other is " Monthly 10 ball tournament". Plenty hang out when the tables start opening and you can always get action ,They play a lot of one pocket there on a regular basis. The second local place that has the exact tourney format (typically held on opposite weekends except for January 2019) is On Cue sports Bar and grille. They have 9-Gold Crown earlier models and a snooker table ( for now, its for sale) . They do not allow smoking because they do serve food and drinks and have a smoking section outside .

The League Room in Parkersburg usually has good monthly tournaments. They alternate 8B/9B
