Anybody else having issues with Jim Pierce?

Why is it that every time there is an issue with a cuemaker the response is health/death in family/natural disaster.

Life happens, and I understand intimately how these kinds of events affect us. However our challenges do not then automatically become the challenges of our customers.

I have the sneaking suspicion that a good deal of these excuses are manufactured to cover up poor business management.

.02, probably less.

Well his grandfather passing is no reason why there was a communication issue in the first place. That is just the icing on the cake he's dealing with very recently.

I would like to think that no one I trust would ever use a family death as an excuse.

I've been on this forum for 5 years and probably read through 30 of these threads. My conclusion is everything Pocket said.

5 years ago I was prepared to spend $2000 to replace my 1987 Helmstetter. But after dealing with a flaky cue maker (who flaked out even before I gave him money) and reading these threads, I fell in love again with my Helmstetter and simply bought a new shaft for it. The cue industry chased away about $1700 there.
