Anybody know any more info than I currently have on this Meucci cue?

Hi all,

I'm a Meucci dealer, and know quite a bit of info about them, but I'm stumped for info on this one.. A customer who is on hard times is thinking about selling it, and gave me the info he was told about it. I told him I'd try and ask on here if anybody could give a price range of value on it, or any other information someone may have on it..
He said he was told by Bob Meucci that it was a prototype cue that was not supposed to have ever of left the factory (it doesn't have a Meucci Logo on it). He also said Bob Meucci offered him a pretty decent chunk of money for it several years ago when he showed it to him at the Rally in the Valley Expo back when it was still in King of Prussia Pa (Valley Forge), but at the time he still had a good job.. It has matching copper bands on the butt and shaft..

It's sure unique. Is that a piloted joint - hard to tell from the shadow? It definitely looks like a Meucci to me but I've not seen another like it.

As a dealer and collector of Meucci Cues, I just don't feel any interest in this cue.
Guess the problem is, only Bob can tell if it is one of his. I just don't see any resemblance in this cue and other Meucci Cues.
Maybe a weird combination of the HP-4 and HP-5? Yes, I have some imagination.

I also have trouble believing stories about pool cues and the history.

I can't put a value on it.

I mean...if it is straight and hits good, then you can decide what it's worth.

Sorry I'm no help....

Hi,
It is not a piloted joint, it's their normal 5/16x18 pin...
