Anybody know this Runde?

Yeah, it also caught my eye. Great looking cue, and possibly the most traditional design I've seen from Runde. I'm watching it, but was hoping someone knew the seller?

BTW, the buttcap appears to have a very subtle flange or lip at the bottom. Can anyone confirm that Runde uses that?

It's got a similiar design to Panhdlce's Scruggs (the one in his avatar)...

Runde

I do not know the cue or seller but I have a Runde almost identical made the same year so I believe it's original. Mine has 5 multi-colored veneers and small MOP dots above and below the point inlay, but is other wise identical. In regard to the butt caps all I have seen (I have several of his cues) are straight with no flange, some have a groove type ring around the bottom and some do not. If it plays like mine it would be an excellent cue.

Runde does put a groove near the bottom of the butt cap on some cues, and I think that is what the pictures show. The ones I have have, RUNDE and a number written on the butt cap also.

I know both the cue and the seller. The cue is a Runde, the pictures dont do the cue justice the owner/seller is very very careful with his cue there are no dings or nicks in this cue. it is kept in a climate controlled enviroment at all times. If anyone on this board were to purchase this cue I think they would be happy with there purchase...

I dont know that' cue or the seller, but Bob makes a very nice cue, as a Hobby, because He Wants to" and does great work, and is one of the most underated cuemakers of our time!
You can compare anything he does to Schick, Searing, Showman, Haley, the list goes on...Hes been making cues since the 70's and is quite a Craftsman.
i owned 1, and have personally seen his work on several cues, heres a picture of the 1 I had, everything was excellent.

I agree with everything you say. I love Bob's cues and the old Schons. I am just trying to figure this auction. I have asked the seller for another picture showing the buttcap and he can't produce, so I am a little worried.

I think Bob Runde is one of the top cue makers and his work is excellent. I own 2 cues (a James White and a Runde) and I can't find a single thing I don't like about my Runde cue.
