Anybody use Solidworks?

It is a great 3d modeling package. It also has stress analysis add ons for it. Takes abit getting used to as it is a feature base cad rather than absolute draw like autocad. In solidworks you make the shape and then constrain it to create what you want.Makes nice 3d models.Once you have a shape eg a cube, then by changing restraints you can make it a rectangular box, without having to redraw the entire model.

I have autocad 2008 and Inventor 2008 now too.
Gonna get Mastercam to generate g-codes for Mach2.
 
I'm looking at OneCNC which I have a test run at the moment. SolidWorks, MasterCam and the others is way to pricy for me. And then you have to pay a yearly fee to be able to have support and upgrades which make you pay big $.

This is the impression I have of those two at least.

OneCNC has done pretty good over here and is taking over some of the marked in the neighboring country's. It has both CAD and CAM so it should be like a Swiss army knife for both 2D and 3D.

I have not got the time to do a heavy evaluation yet (I don't have a machine to test in on) so I can't say to much about plus or minuses now. But it's for sure cheaper than the mentioned SW.

we use solid works to draw are prints before we write a program
its is more for doing prints then cue making prints of all our products and jigs and things.
anything about the program you would like to know i have a girl that works for part time shes a master with this program
thats what shw does all day long draw prints for tooling let us know
