Anyone else totally frustrated with their Cue Case

If you could what would you change to make your Pool Cue Case better?

I am currently using an old "George" type case in a 2 x 4 arrangement. Has one small pocket, and carry strap.

I hate the way the top come off and is easily misplaced, I wish that case has more storage space, I wish the case has a compartment long enough for a Jump Butt. I wish the case has a suit case, or top handle.

I have velcowed a extra storage compartment on the case, and use produce department rubber bands to hold my jump butt to the case that is kept in a fabric sleeve .

I really need a new case but frankly have not seen a design that totally has all the feature I want with out spend meager buck on a fine leather custom case.

I wanted one w/more pockets, light weight, and hold at least 2x2 and my cue extender. I tried just about everything I could find. I finally got a Silver Fox semi-hard case their #BR-2. I took the cue sleeves out of it and put in some tubes from old cases which I wrapped together w/tape. Right now I have it set up for 2x3.

It has huge pockets, is light weight, holds all the cues I want and my Tony Ryan cue extender which I lengthened to 28". You won't believe the pocket space and I can get a towel and a soft cover book in the cue compartment.

I love mine...

its a Vittorre case (instroke knockoff) that I bought on ebay new for $68.00 3 years ago and still looks like new I had one problem with the zipper and after fixing it its perfect!

My pet peeve about any cue case is when you can't get the lid off because of how much of the cues stick up past the tubes. This problem magnifies itself when joint protectors are used. And you don't know this problem exists until you go to get your cues out and you find that the lid won't "roll" off of the cues. I fought with one lid once for about five minutes (trying my best not to damage the case). I think the solution for this problem would simply be to make the holes in the lid a good bit bigger than the diameter of the tubes. It's not like your cues are gonna be flopping around in there or anything.

I love my case - has two great pockets and is VERY lightweight. It's not a name brand, though. And, I wish I hadn't torn the handle, but b/c it's so lightweight, I don't mind right now..

I was able to make my decision by picking one out a booth at a tournament. Allows you to look at several different kinds to help you make your final choice.

I just got a Instroke Premier 2x3 (they also have 2x4) that sounds like what you are looking for. And the price tag won't break the bank. Here it is at Seybert's:

2x4

2x3
http://www.seyberts.com/pool_cues/case.php?case_code=P2x3B&brand_id=18

The hole config on the 2x3 is actually a little different (better) than shown.

I bought the Instroke Premier 2x3 also a few months ago. I love it. I especially like that I can put butts or shafts in either way. I put my butts in with the pin pointed up and shafts with their tips up. I like that they are not hitting the bottom of the tube and leaving chalk in the tube. I do wish the long pocket on the outside was just a couple of inches longer to completely hold my cue extender. It will hold a jump butt just fine, though. I think it was a really great buy for the money.

Instroke Artisan 2x4...I love it, but it's heavy... Also, it would be nice to have an additional towel pocket. One such that I can have my towel hooked on to the lid like usual but tuck it in without disconnecting it. Maybe they could add a designated ring or loop for the towel, too.

Those are my suggestions; overall, I love the case.

I also have a leather 2x4 Instroke knockoff that is indistinguishable from the real thing, except for the (lack of a) name tag. From a utilitarian perspective it is much better than my George 2x4, which I find near useless except for storage and shipping.

I have a suede tan and brown 2x4 which i am unhappy with. The tan portion of the case has gotten quite dirty and i would like a little more space in the pockets on the case. I have been thinking about ordering a case from Justius.

If you want a case that will not only look good, function well, and last forever.........Jack Justus has the answer.

The initial investment may seem a little expensive but on the long run it's a super deal, I don't believe there is a finer case on the market.

Go with Jim Murnak. For the money, he is the best in the business. He can handle all of your needs and desires and you will have a case that will last a lifetime and be the envy of all that see it. My desire was for a 30 x 50 case with enough pockets to carry around my golf clubs. Jim was so creative, he even included a caddy to carry the case around. Only kidding. http://www.jimmurnakcuecases.com/gl2143.htm

Agreed. Not happy w/ mine either, but it's not like I have the necessary funds to get a new one, yet a custom one.

Hopefully when I find a new job I can have the funds to facilitate that need.

Best wishes in searching for the cue case u r looking for. :)

A couple folks brought up towel storage. I just started clipping on one of my old golf towels from my golf bag. Works fine. I'm suprised more folks don't do this. It's super handy having it out and ready all the time.

You can go to any of these large golf stores like Golfsmith and pick a color to match your bag if you want. It might have a Titelist logo on it, but since you never see the towel fully open, it doesn't really matter. Comes with a clip and usually has a metal grommet fastened into the towel for wear and tear. They're usually nice and small. Perfect size for a cue bag. Makes it a little easier to identify you bag in a darker room too.:D
