Anyone found your perfect Pool Cue Case yet?

I just got a JB Rugged case and have a couple of other decent ones but I always go back to my cheap, Porper 3x6.
Great friggin case and cost me just over 100 bucks.

Porper is in Chatsworth, CA if I recall. They have a lifetime warranty, and they honor it.

Guy I knew who is very dead now, had a Porper with a BUSTED ZIPPER, I told him the Case was Warranted for life, he sent it 20 year old Porper for repair.

He was told when he called for the shipping address, if we can not fix the zipper, you get a NEW CASE.

The Zipper was fixed, Case came back, and all it cost was inbound postage.

Another "Rugged" fan...

I recently picked up a JB Ultimate Rugged 3x6 at the SBE. While not very flashy, it is very functional. As of now, I believe it will be the last case I will need...

The only case I'm considering right now would be a cheap JB rugged 2x4. Where the hell do you even buy one of these things? JB's website sucks, and other retailers don't seem to have them...

Maybe one of these guys with the stand: http://jjcue.com/cases10.htm. Anybody use one of those?

I drive a 911 every day. I can't for the life of me figure out why anybody would pay more than $150 for a cue case.

NOT the same thing here.

I had a 65 356SC, 67 912, and a 71 911. I drove em because they were fun to drive, and own. I am no Jimmy Stewart the Race Car Drive, but like I said they were fun ccar.

To me maybe it is fun, or? To have a special Cue or Cue Case.

I think a good cue case is more functional by a LOT than a car over $30k, especially one that is fairly specialized in use like a 911. And I doubt I'd ever spend more than a $100 on my pool case hehe, but I think a $200-300 case makes more sense than a $50,000+ car.

$30k for a car, 20k to feed a few 100 hungry kids for a year, Win-Win. Very few things piss me off than watching our "celebrities" spend 200k on a ring instead of just taking that money and actually doing something useful. A 20 yr old stung out on drugs and beer begging for money is one thing, some poor 6 yr old that needs health care and clean clothing because the parents are either useless or just not very lucky or made bad choices is another.

I've got a '99 (I used to race it, talk about fun!), and my father in law has a '71 911 targa. Just as much fun.

However, neither of us care too much about the garage we pull them into...

You can get a great condition 911 now for like $20k. I bought mine like 8 years ago for $35, and it's been the cheapest car I've ever owned (stupid reliable and well built), not counting tickets ;)

Trust me, I'm all about feeding the hungry and spend tons of money and time on that stuff. But for just a little more than what a Camry/Accord costs, you get better resale, and a big ass smile on your face every damn day. I'll admit that there are a lot of days that may be the only smile I get, so it seems like a good deal to me.

But a cue case... I don't understand why y'all are getting the smiles. If you like something, and it makes you happy, buy it if you can. I have no issue there. But... it's just a cue case... that's what I don't get.

A used 911 is a good value, since their price drops like mad after new LOL

The best handling car I drove was a 944 years back. The thing I don't like about the higher end cars is that repair costs and even things like new tires match the higher end prices for them. I'd rather replace the 195 / 16" tires on my Accord than 235 / 18" tires on a sports car.

My charity rant was a bit out of place, but is a good point I think about the differences between what we need (storage for cues to get from car to pool hall) and what we want (silver hardware with baby seal leather). I like to go one step over what is average and no further. My TV/speakers/computer etc.. are only as good as I need them to be and not be frustrated. Yes, it's a 1080p set, but it's a 37" not a 50". Yes I have good quality speakers on my PC but they are the best bargain 2.1 set that were $50 that I got for $30 on clearance not some $200 5.1 set.
