Anyone going to the Destin, FL tourny?

I just found out last night about that stop in Destin. I was wondering if any of you guys would be in attendance?

***Actually I just found out the event ends thursday night. I'm going to TRY to make both wednesday and thursday. But i'm going to atleast be there on wednesday all day.***

I found out saturday night from Rick howard, called the director of the tournament today it is 10$ for day pass 10$night pass or 20$ for vip pass and they will be playing until midnight or so each night. they are holding another tournament on thursday but you have to be a registered guest at the hilton that sucks cause it is 125 entry plus about 100-200 a night.
I guess there are no good players from the Panhandle cause the director said that" they never concidered the local players that might want to attend, and that they are working on a price for locals" :rolleyes: I think I am going to go up there after work tommarrow seeing that I work in destin.

It looks like a tough field. Corey, Johnny, Luc Salves, Mike Davis, Rodney Morris, Tony Crosby in the first bracket alone. Jeremey, Gabe, and John Schmidt in the second. Plus a bunch of other great players. No wonder that guy had a heart attack.

there is no way that i would enter, i am not that good, i just know some people that would.
 
it seems and though i'm going to be unable to negotiate getting thursday off as well :/. I may end up working a closing shift on thursday though and watch the early matches. I'm gonna be heart broken that I missed the finals though :/

Just for the record, Cheese86, John Schmidt lives in the FL panhandle. Milton, FL to be exact. Can't imagine them not knowing that.
 
Celtic, I assume you saw Edwin and Tyler in the brackets. How do you think Edwin will do in his match against Charlie Williams?
 
I'm leaving in about an hour for Destin. Gonna be there tonight, wednesday all day, and possibly thursday morning. Seeya there!
