Anyone have an old Curtis Case from the 80's

I am curious if anyone has some pictures of old Curtis cue cases. He was out of the mid-west. He had Mark Tadd carrying his cases, Buddy Hall and Johnny Archer. Would love to see some more of his work. I have one that I was fortunate to pick up at the trade show when black boar cues were first introduced. I will post some pictures soon but was looking for some info about the cases. I believe the maker may have been in hidding or something. The info I have is 20 years old and probably bad, It could be curtis with a K (Kurtis) do not know! Thanks for any info!!!

Great case. I guess it's ok if I copy it. :-)

I really really love the way that the edges are finished. I don't know how to do that. But I will learn.

I also am amazed at the handles on the side and the strap holders. They are just like the Instroke ones.

I took mine from Flowers or somewhere. But I didn't realize that there was someone before that who did it like this on cue cases.

Over the years I have seen several good casemakers come and go. I don't understand why unless they just got tired of it or ran out of money.

Jim Knott Cases - is he still around? Jude Hammond made a nice case. And others I can't think of now that have dabbled and made just a few cases but really nice ones.

It's kind of sad in a way that we have hundreds of cuemakers around the world but only a handful of casemakers. And from the looks of it most folks own more than one case.

Anyway, this case is a true treasure. I am going to use it as inspiration and try to learn what I can from the pictures. Maybe Curtis Cases can be revived :-)

A case in point; what happened to New York Cue Cases... I think that was the name. Beautiful and innovative.. or at least different from anything I'd seen.

Hmm I am actually kinda wishing that you would. But maybe add a longer pouch in front.

Is this guy still alive?

I heard they went broke. I loved the design where there were two hidden pockets that accessed with a zipper, but also had a magnet that would hold the cover closed in instances where you were going in and out of the pockets. Unzip for access when you get to the pool room, and just use the magent until you got ready to leave, then rezip. Jeannette Lee had one made for her that was covered with spider web and two black widow spiders and her name. All embroidered and raised from the case.
