Anyone have any info on Hagan Cues

Bill Hagan made cues in Ohio then moved to Arizona.
He quit making cues years ago.
He used staghorn for collars and ferrules.
His construction was unique. The butt were a little shorter than the shafts.

Bill was retired from GM I believe, as a tool and die maker. He built his own pantograph and did a lot of elaborate inlay work with it. He had a few peculiarities about his cue. As mentioned, he used buckhorn as joints and ferrules. He glued up his blanks differently than most, by cuting them lengthwize, reversing them and gluing them up reversed. His logic was that it was stronger laminated like that and that it would reduce warping ( I think he was wrong on the last part, which is one reason most of his cuse are on the thin side. He had to turn the warp out.) Another thing he did that was a little unusual was to cut his "V" groove for his points sort of like Mali used to on some ot their cues. He's cut them into a full length butt and use Bondo under the wrap to fill the rounded bottom. Being from his area, I used to get a lot of his cues in the shop for work. We met a few times before he moved out west.
