Anyone have experience with Philippines customs and shipping?

I'm not buying a cue i have to send half-way around the world to get fixed. Insane.
With postal in the US no different. USPS,FEDEX & UPS loose shit all the time. Al makes darn nice cues. I have one I hit the butt cap on a lally column and chip the finish. I let him know my fault no problem was his answer send it back when you get the time. No cost except duties and shipping.
I ended up going to the PI. So he shipped it local and I brought it back.
Cue is dated & signed so YES original builder repair kept its value.

I've been buying selling stuff, not just cues, for 30+yrs and i've never had an issue. The only thing i've ever shipped outside the US went to Tinian and the post office got it there in 3days. To each his own but i'm not ever going to buy a cue that's made 3000+ miles away. Not happening.

Should have sent it in a balikbayan box with pasalubong for the family and it would have arrived no problem.

Want to deal with a third world country you have to understand how they roll.

Transit time might be 2 months though.

Sending it back to a third world country is nuts.
Could have got it fixed in the states and not gone through all the brain damage.
It's not like it was a valuable collector cue.

USPS seems to be back in grove with priority mail. In last 30 days I have sent 3 or 4 small priority packages to different places in USA.

Told all would get there 3-4 days, all arrived day 3.

Service is good.

Shipping to third world country is tough, package could’ve swing for next Water Buffalo, or Elephant to transport package.

Sometimes you come up with some funny but maybe true stuff.
