Anyone interested in the top 50 winning safes in championship matches

In general terms, stealing is usually bad.

Its the start that stops most projects.

I will motivate myself to make a decent 10 sec trailer. this weekend

Wow. That's harsh. Ouch!
i got tough customers too. its better to air out the differences now. its all for the billiard community.

Don't take it personally I for one have learned more from you than any instructor out there! You have contributed a ton over the years. But, maybe you're just not the right instructor for him. Some people may not prefer such a technical personality. But others of us do keep up the good work!
Yes we do!

The first time I posted a video on this forum it was to a video of trick shots done digitally with low quality production methods.

DrDave is great, its always good to have support and critics. I support DrDave but can I support him while being critical.
Its a common thing for youtubers, they hate on each others work first and it turns into a series of reactions of reactions.
For you old timers its called tough love.

The juicy gossip on the delays in my production is... I plan to make it a full product line release.
making concept art for my 10 second sequence
Storyboarding my 10 second sequence with original art
creating assets for a stylized and distinct look
studying reference material of great films portraying billiards and social media references to billiards

my 10 second pre production phase has already logged at least 100 hours of research and development before I can even touch a camera or video editing software.

my current bottleneck is having a 1GB low profile graphics card. I am priced out of 4K digital sculpting.
this is due to owning a business PC instead of gaming PC. the power supply connector to the mobo is a 14 pin. Its not a simple upgrade.

as for which safe and how to present that is the easy part.
My main goal is try to respect frame by frame great historical billiards media.
Billiard Media Appreciation
the BMA by Pool Tool (still picking a name)

Its going to be the most researched 10 seconds of how to play a safe.

I might even launch the trailer with a cheap websites for statistics and other billiard related content to support the video on kicks you should master first.

I cant do amazing 3d graphics.
I feel bad about doing 2d animations and childrens book style art.

Billiard in media has an essence and I am learning how to capture it. For now I am studying the greats. The Hustler and TCOM.

Just make the video, nobody cares about your millennial angst.

I am modeling in low polygons. Movie famous pool rooms.

There are plenty of videos of pushing balls with sticks.

I should have something by 3pm.

Here is the video.
86 seconds of introduction to playing a safe.

The presentation will cover, why you should play safe and struggles beginning players have with pocketing when they should be playing safe.

I also tried to 3d model a famous reference, but rendering that took forever. So I did a quick work around.
I also tried to show how to diagram tables in the video using graphics software.

I've already seen them. Got my ass beat 50 times. Were they the best of all time? To me they looked it.

can you post a close up the bruswick photo in your profile pic? specifically the underside from front and side view.

Hows the project coming along?

I will try to narrate it in first person and shoot it as a movie trailer. I am in a storyboarding process. I want to respect the film heritage and make multiple references every frame. I am learning the Hollywood angles that lure people in.
