Does anyone know of or heard of Sammy Soto? He's a pretty strong, high betting road player from Southern Illinois, is around 45 years old (+/- 5 yrs), tall and skinny!!

What about Andy Quinn? He's a younger player from the St. Charles MO area!

Hi zim,

I have played sammy, never heard of the other guy.I was in columbous ohio, place called jack's sprat.. pool/restraunt type place.. ur right he plays very well.. awesome gambler.:)

thewolf- When did you play Sammy? How did it turn out? From what I've seen Sammy can shoot the stripes off the balls, but that was about 5 years ago I last seen him. Where are you from?
Andy Quinn is in his early 20's, manages Teachers Sports Bar & Billiards in Fairview Heights Illinois, just outside of St. Louis. He's currently the top player in the St. Louis area followed by Joe Woolford, Gary Lutman and a couple others I can't think of right now. Andy is said to be good enough to go PRO, but he's not interested in that right now, he enjoys his job too much!

I saw Sammy play about 12 years ago. I was going to school in Charleston, Illinois. Sammy and Big Arm John came through looking to match up. Sammy never got any action. Either people had heard of him, or his stroke just scared people away. Big Arm John made some dough though.

Sammy came by the Rio Grande Valley in Texas back in the early 90's. got to hang out with him quit a bit. He's the best hustler i've seen. He would play just good enough to beat people. He ended up winning about $25,000 and at the end of it all the people thought they could still beat him. He beat Mike Siegal when Mike was world champion. I think that is a guy who could say " The worlds got the 8.

Next time there is a seance to bring back the spirit of a thread that died six years ago, I want to be part of it.
