met a guy tonight
he was showing me his cue he won a couple years ago off someone
he said he thought the maker was from ohio
only markings i saw were " jeff 2004" handwritten at the bottom end of points just above wrap
any clue who the maker is????

Jeff Olney? He's the only midwestern "Jeff" I can think of. I don't think he signs with anything but "Olney", but who knows?!?!

i think you're right about only signing "olney" . i wish i had my camera with me last nite. nice looking cue, but he wants me to recut it, butt has warped about 10/1000ths. luckily it's got a fairly large joint, prolly about .850 or more. if it helps identify, the finish isn't what i would call shiny, it's more of a satin finish.

it took me two years to learn how to use my "dinosaur" that i have now.
