A friend of mine has 2 Stambolini cues. These cues look great. They have coated irish linen and 5/16-18 flat faced joint. I think it's an old cuemaker who don't build cues anymore for severals years.

Anyone can give me some information about this cuemaker is welcome.

Thanks

Stamboulini? Imports, affiliated with the current Adams at one time I think. It might be/have been owned by Competition. Often misnamed Stramboulini. The name is sometimes attributed to some original maker of the cues named Julio Stamboulini (marketing?). $80-$300 retail.

Now that you tell me, it looks something like an other series of cues (same caracteristics) called Stanley West cues who were affiliate to Helmstetter / Adams.

Thanks for your answer.

You can look up pool cue bluebook. He should be in there..:D

I have the Blue Book, James Stamboulini Cues.
Made by Adam in the 1980's and a new line by Competition Sports from 98 until 01.

The Adam ones have a flat face 3/8x10 the newer Competition ones 5/16x18.
The fanciest one is $285 in 98% condition, the cheapest one $90.

I sold a lot of these Qs in the late '80's. I bought them from Adams- Helmstetter, in New York. This is pre "Competition". All of the ones I had were 3/8-10 joint. Very good playing Q, for the money...JER
