That's odd. The ones (maybe 2) that I've seen didn't have Ginacue impressed in them and Ernie doesn't remember making any like that. How do you feel yours compares in size (diameter of the opening and tube itself) to say a Fellini or and old Adams ?

It is made like the Adams or viking cases--
But the lettering is the block style on the case, this came with a old titleest cue so I thought it could be a early case that he bought and lettered--
If you could check with him sometime and post here, that would be great but it would be for info only--
It is going to stay with the Ginacue--

He made his own cases. I did check with him and he didn't recall doing that lettering. I sent him the pics if he changes his tune I'll let you know. Ernie's cases were the same style as other tube cases, but noticeably smaller, you had to know "the move" to get a butt and 2 shafts in there.

the cases ive seen did not have the lettering, but the lining looks to be corect, they were smaller than the cases of the day, but he did his own extrusion and then lined them with a silk type nylon

You are for sure right (always are) about the lining, and Ernie is all trying to remember if he ever tried the lettering (the 60s were a long time away).

I'll tell you what, Bill is right that lining does look way Ernieish. Ernie is all "I don't think I ever used lettering by we are talking 50 tears ago", which we are (wow).

If you want to continue investigation, take a pic of the top of the case inside and out and I'll show them to the master.

New information on the Gina-

I am going to speak ( to a supposed friend- who took it under consignment- I was asked by Him to attempt to sell the Gina- The world apparently knew more about the cue than me. thanks in advance for the pm's. I will reply- when I can get a better price-( because of Original shaft length. (other issues) I will speak with Doc Rutter about ( reality about repairs he may or may not have done.) thanks- my reputation speaks for it self- I feel only semi knowledgeable yesterday for sure. I will declare any information , I must blame myself(10%) for not asking , the right questions thanks Mark

too bad that was a rare cue with staggard veneer and double rings ,and cortland wrap, and dots above the points. wow! hope you can make the sale happen iam surprised at 1850.00 it did not fly off the shelf , and for only making a few bucks at 2000 it was a steal. because if ernie restored it 3000 would not be out of line
 
iwould have bought it if you responded to my pms. were you selling it for the 61 year old lady or was it a consingment with a friend iam confused please clear up for me, thanks
 
Thanks to the interest (Gina removed-

the gina is gone/the woman who put it up for consignment- wanted it back. All other cues will remain in our hands(30-60 days) due to this woman's( actions)- she's apparently very thirsty mark

She makes it look as if you went to a woman's house who was offering a cue on CraigsList for $1850, which you turned around and offered to middle to AZ for $2800 without even buying it. Sure she wanted the cue "back", someone was kind enough to post the Craigslist ad and I'm sure someone else just bought it from her directly. I mean, why not?

I'm not real clear on what she did wrong, how she was thirsty, but she sure did succeed on making someone else look a little hungry.

I've got no problem with a guy trying to flip a cue, and I take items on consignment too, but you really need a little control and knowledge. Otherwise your consignor will just sell the item out from under you and leave you looking like a guy that didn't disclose the flaws in a cue you didn't own or know very well.

I'm sure this cue will end up in Ernie's shop pretty soon and I'm looking forward to seeing it.
