Anyone run into this??

It's probably a scam but wanted to check if anyone else has run into this. About three weeks ago I got an e-mail from someone I didn't know, normally I just delete those but in the subject line it said "Cue order" so of course I opened it. It was someone asking about buying production cues and what I had or something like that. I just gave a quick reply stating that I only made custom cues and did not deal in anything production. And then deleted the e-mail. I got another e-mail from him asking my prices. I responded. I got one back today with him saying he wants four cues made. Of course I replyed saying that we would need to talk on the phone first and I would need a deposit before I would start anything. We'll see if I get any response back now! But like I said, probably just a scam. But I'm sure there is some poor trusting cue maker out there that would just ship off four cues without any money in hand.
 
Cue buying scam

Be wary my friend. I get these alot. Many from outside the U.S. They will want you to build cue(s) for them without a down payment. Then they will want the cues shipped for inspection before payment. Then they dissappear.
I personally haven't been a "victim" but I know some people who bit and got burned. If you decide to do biz with this person, get 50% up front or no build. Get full payment before ship with refund clause if not satisfied.

If they are asking to buy Predator or Viking cues and asking how you ship and if you take credit cards, look out.

This almost exactly what I put in the e-mail minus the refund clause

He did say he wanted Predator specs....whatever that means but nothing about viking or credit cards.
