Does the $10.00/Week include all Weekly Expenses? Or do you have to Pay Quarters/Game, or anything else on top of the 10 BUCKS?

Our $6 per match is excluding table fees. For me, all my matches are at least a race to five. Sometimes six. Even at $1 split, I usually spend about $9 per match. Cost of playing I guess. I'm a newbe though. Others with longer exposure to APA might have better information.

We play @ Snookers in Providence(in house league/13 teams) and they provide the tables free of charge. The APA has nothing to do with Snookers giving us free table time, this is strictly on Snookers' dime.

Haven't been to Snooker's since they moved. Are you playing on 4.5 x 9 or bar boxes? $10 isn't to bad to play on first rate equipment if its the big tables. In Vegas, the tables are open for league play.

The captain has to submit $40.00 per week for 5 matches. Therefore the dues are $40. This is usually divided by the players that play that night. If we have to forfeit the money comes from the very little payout at the end.
Every bar gives the table for free and some also include the other table for free play. It is also the norm for the bar to give each team member a free drink of what they are drinking.
Have heard that the LO is raising the fee to $45 per week. Granted $9 for pool competition and a free drink is a reasonable night out the payback is about zero. Don't know why the LO other than greed is raising the fee. I don't expect to get rich or make a profit but in another local league the return to the every player is 90% of the weekly fee and we get the same free play and players drink. The "big" payout of going Vegas doesn't payback anywhere near that as only one team for the whole year (3 sessions) gets $2500 and the rest get the RD.

$10/match to play at Snooker's vs. $8/match to play at the crappy bars around here? Although I realize Snooker's doesn't factor into the actual APA amount, it's still one hell of a deal! Heck, they made the Top 10 in Billiards Digest this year, arguably the number 1 spot.
We pay $40 per week, per team. $8 per person that played. No greens fees in any of the rooms we play in.
I have come to learn the the APA leagues to the east and north of us are charging $9 per player, with the extra dollar going to the room. I dunno if that will happen with us soon or not. It won't be the worst thing that ever happened.

We pay 7 a head or 35 for the five people who shoot. Tables have always been open around here. Bars/rooms get none just the money people spend on drinks. We do however get a team drink. A free drink of what ever you have been drinking all night. Honestly there is to many different leagues around here to even think about 10 a head.

Yeah, I just saw that George and to be honest, after playing two leagues in Mass and now this league in Providence, I will gladly pay an extra buck to be able play on those tables under those conditions with those waitresses :grin:

$7 per match, tables (for the most par) open for league play & some open them for 1/2 hr of practice as well. Only 2 bar charge for tables, 1 makes you pay the quarters & the other charges a $1 greens fee for those that shoot.
For $7 per, our league gets $8000 per team for Vegas qualifiers & we send 5 teams (3 8-ball, 2 9-ball).

Slightly off topic, but I'm from Pittsburgh, we have a Nine ball league here that is chosen by most Pittsburgh area surrounding residents over the A.P.A. ,, the league here charges $10 green fee per team per match, the league I speak of is called
"THE PLAYERS LEAGUE".
The difference between "the players league" and "apa"(in the pgh area),,besides the amount of players, is Teams consist of 4 or more players , the spreads or determined by the individual players stats on the team, races are based on a 31 game match system, with spreads going from anywhere like 16-16 to 21-11, it allows for 2 players per team to play up to 9 games per match, and the remaining players can play up to 8 . match consist of 3 rounds ,rds 1 and 2 consist of 10 games and rd 3 consist of 11.

Our weekly DJ fees are 48 per team per week. Some bars pay some or all of that. Our Tuesday night team, the bar pays half so we pay 24 per team. Everyone chips in $5 and at the end of the season the leftover money is used for a few drinks the last night. Our sunday team plays out a bar that pays all the dues. Table are $1 per game coin-op split between the players.
