Just some clips from the Juniors of the APA at Bull Shooters in Phoenix a little over a week ago. Over $2500 was raised for Nationals, these kids had a great time. Scott Frost and I gave away some DVDs, Scott not only played with the kids but also some challenge matches raising some dough. Support the youth, they are our future, we need new blood in the game for it to grow. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5mZKEiPZo2c

Wow that's awesome. Looks like a good time. Also looks like some good shooters

Great stuff! We need a lot more junior events. I think every hall should have junior leagues and special day rates for juniors. I started at twelve in a junior in house league. Town Line Billiards in Tewksbury, MA... RIP. They also had five dollar play all day, and the house pro would put together tournaments on snow days and such. It was a fantastic environment to fully ingrain the real game of pool in the minds of the young. A lot of us kids flourished and were better than a lot of the adults playing in night leagues. That is the true starting point to making this game "big". This is a sport you do have to feel a part of to really get into, and events like these are truly priceless in making that happen. Great work! Keep it up!

Credit for the success of the juniors league in Phoenix goes to Gina and Doug Nowlin, who are the APA operators for the entire Phoenix metro area. Gina and Doug are two very hard working people who have not only put a huge emphasis on their juniors division, but have built their other divisions to the point that they have something to offer all levels of players seven days a week. It's no wonder why they were named APA League Operator Of The Year in 2013.

If your area needs a junior league, you might want to approach your local APA operator a show them what Gina and Doug Nowlin are doing in Phoenix.

That was a class act

Kudos to Scott Frost (and Lenny) for supporting the APA Juniors.

I consider myself a Scott Frost fan, but rooting against him in every one of these matches.

Looks like he got beat more than few times.

Big thanks to Doug and Gina for all their work and Mike Bates and his family at Bull Shooters along with all of those who bought raffle tickets and supported it. It was a good day for the kids and for pool.
